And yet I hear, from UA fans that AU fans are the same people.

Not even close.

Seems like people avoid this topic around here. What's the rules regarding that topic? Are people being generally decent and avoiding it?

I mean what's the point? We all see it, it's plastered on the TV. There's just something off about a good bit of Alabama fans. It's just so common, there's no use making threads about every new dysfunctional/evil/violent thing they do.

I love how they try to deflect away from their humiliating fanbase by calling us, "jealous".

Not fan or game related. Just a sad case and I do not believe it belongs on this list.

I believe I saw on the National Geographic Channel where bloodhounds around Tuscaloosa actually have sex with armadillos.

The guy is a nut job bama fan but he didn't let the baby die in the name of Bama football. The rest of the stuff listed the people did.

Meh. I worked in a prison in Oklahoma. Most of them were Oklahoma fans, some Texas, some Texas A&M, some Okie State. These were murderers, rapists and drug dealers. I assure you I could go to any prison in any state and there will be a large number of fans for the home teams.

But no, this is not borne of jealousy. This is birthed from the desperate idea that one fan base is "worse" than the rest. Go visit your local prison and ask around, then come back here. If you lack the stones to do so, admit it. At least be a man about that one thing.

I'm sure there's lots of LSU fans in Angola... I doubt very very few of them ended up on the farm by committing crimes brought on by violent urges they felt after a Tiger loss on the gridiron.

Wait. Are you telling us to go to prison to find people like a large portion of the Bama fan base. Seems like more of a crack on Bama, than anything.

Go ask a jail in Alabama and you'll probably start a "Rahl Tyde" chant, then a riot will ensue when 1 or 2 of the inmates yell "war eagle".

Just fricking own it. Bama fans do dumb shite in public all the time and yell "RAHL TYDE" as if it were to validate the stupidity they just committed. Every school has its bad apples, but Alabama has bad apple trees.

Roll Tide.

And there are alot of Bama fans in Prison too for things not related to them being a Bama fan that aren't being counted. These people are ones that are doing stupid stuff because their obsession with Bama football.

Its not just people ignoring every other fanbase and picking on Bama. Everyone would jump on any of the other schools if their fans were doing this. Its just that Bama fans are the ones that keep doing the stupid stuff, over and over. Sooner or later you're going to have to realize its not coincidence that its your fans doing all the idiotic crap and figure out your fanbase is abnormal.

Look all of us are more obsessed with college football than the average person-- hell, we're on a college football forum year round and if you really look at it our almost stalker like focus on the decisions of high schoolers it's kind of creepy. And yet, Bama fans somehow take it to another level- where as a loss for a normal fan might ruin a weekend or taint a season for a Bama fan it corrupts their lives. A significant portion of the Alabama fan base has nothing in their life that goes well but the football they watch on Saturday -- to them Saban is like an Iman is to one of those poor guys who grows up in the mountains of Afghanistan-- the one person who speaks the truth and promises a better life, they really and truly live by proxy through the team. Sure, objectively it's sad, but it's all they have and you can see it in the defense some of the Bammers have put up here with highlight reel clips and the like.

The OP, and LSU fan, would be putting in all the time and effort if it was a team other than Bama? Even you don't believe that. Footabll is very important to posters here. If it weren't for the success of Bama football posters wouldn't grasp onto things like that so vigorously. This thread is like group therapy.

I already answered this on the page before. Until another fan base does half these things we won't ever know
