Not to get political but we need more of this, people helping people, because our leadership will not. I hope this small gesture from Bama brightens the day for families in LA.
Nothing political about it. Based on what politicians and media are interested in these days, I'm glad our leaders and journalists have shunned this disaster. They'd only make it worse.

In case no one has posted this.. You can donate $!0 via your phone bill by texting 90999. It's not a lot but if many people do it could be huge. God bless you all who are suffering.
I appreciate the thought, but most of what you give to Red Cross will go to administration, not to people who have lost so much.
If a local church in your area is getting something together, trust them with your money and donations.

know a lot of people in Louisiana helped out after the 2011 tornadoes. So it's certainly an easy call to help Louisiana in their time of need.
I am more surprised that I haven't heard this from more SEC schools.
But major props to Bama and USC, for stepping up in my state's time of need(no issues here).
I think this is what a rivalry is about(argue another thread). "Hate" each other, but step up in a time of need.

Yeah, well that $400 million we just sent to Iran so Obama's mosque buddy can continue his nuclear weapons program sure would be useful in Ascension Parish right about now. Oh, wait...he's not running for office anymore is he?? Explains a lot, unfortunately. We'll just take care of our own as we always do here in the South. Stay safe my Tiga brothers and sisters. And take it out on Wiskey!

^^^^^ Thats the truth. I witnessed this first hand in both the 98 f5 and 2011 f5. Local news found one lady the red cross had given $300. Two 18 wheelers worth of chain saws, clothing, and even building materials were loaded up and went somewhere else in 98.

Why would this get a single downvote?
I was not personally affected by the flooding but we have lots of friends that live in the affected areas. Thanks to the folks from Alabama, South Carolina, and every single person that volunteered, put their lives at risk, donated or somehow helped in this disaster.
