lol this is the SEC Rant. It's 95% speculation.

Where were all the Bama fans knighting for Cam Newton when he was being prosecuted by this board for receiving money from Auburn?

You know the guy making plays on the field. I know him off the field. You're speculating just as much as I am if not more.

And that right there is the problem with the rant. Everyone lowers their decency to the level of the least decent posters.

That's the most popular excuse on that rant. It goes like this 1.a poster posts something ridiculous. 2. Other posters call him out. 3. Poster 1 points to other past ridiculous posts by shitty posters as a means to justify their own shitty posts. 4. The bar just keeps getting lower

I met him a few times when he was a freshman. I'm not pretending like I know everything about the guy. That would be you.

I'm just looking at the facts available. there aren't many .

Well. that's a fair point. But still, is there not enough evidence on hand to at least warrant speculation? It is the Rant. We aren't making any verdicts that actually affect him or the situation.

McClain has an incredibly rough past and off field issues to go with it.

He's been trying to sell his million dollar home for a while, lives in Dallas and is expected to end up in Dallas.

He's not a very level-headed, and rational thinker.

Police rule the fire suspicious

I don't see an issue with jumping to the conclusion that there is a good chance something illegal has happened and he may be involved.

Why is this so hard to grasp?

So is he in financial trouble? Has he already blown through that $40mm contract that had a guaranteed $23mm? Was the house about to be foreclosed on? Can he not afford the payments?

I don't know him on that level. We aren't best friends obviously. But he is not in great financial shape right now. I do know that.

You seem to be operating under the assumption that Rolando would need to be under absolutely dire financial conditions in order to commit a crime for money.

And, I'm pretty sure he had blown through his original rookie contract already, actually.

Yep. His return to football was much more financially motivated than others want to admit.

Which is it, "pretty sure" or "actually?" Pretty sure means you are speculating, while actually means you are stating a fact. So, which is it?

BTW, I think the timing of the fire was very suspicious; Bleacher Report releases an article about RM on the 19th, in which RM emphasizes the importance of this home in getting his life back in order. Days later, the home burns.

I believe the fire was arson, set by an enemy of RM in retaliation for some previous action by RM - real or perceived.

I'm pretty sure you have no clue what his net worth is just like none of the rest of us do. But by all means, keep pretending that you do.

It's hilarious that you dumbasses defend him. And when I say hilarious, I mean pathetic. If he played for another team you would be crucifying him and you know it.

I'm not defending him, I'm busting your balls for pulling out the Ole "I'm a rational fan because I criticise my teams players faults, and those who don't are dumbasses"

Next you're going to use the tried and true Au mantra, football doesn't that effect my life and look down your nose at the sidewalker fans that didn't attend the school. I graduated from Bama in 94, how about you? LOL

It is speculation. As I previously stated, I think there is enough out there to reasonably speculate that foul play may have happened.

Sorry for speculating. I know how much you hate it and prefer concrecte and factual statements like
