wasn't responding to you. I was talking about the guy who called Rocky top country music. I figured that would be self-evident by my response. Dumbass

You going to pretend like there's not a huge overlap between country and bluegrass?

Nah, Just won game 4 of the Stanley Cup finals is all. How did those professional Alabama sports teams do yesterday?

You're moving the goalposts. You said rocky top is a country song. It is most decidedly a bluegrass song. Whether they are similar or not is irrelevant to your wrongness. Now sit there in your wrongness and be wrong.
Also, I hear bitching in this site about Rocky top on a daily basis You really think a bunch of Bammers are going to join in on that song in Bridgestone? No. Wrong again.

In Nashville, in that atmosphere? If they are country fans, then yeah. I could see some jumping in.

I'm not going to lie, I think that is pretty low-rent of them to do that. You're playing in the Stanley Cup finals and you play Rocky Top? Sure, you can spin it as a "Tennessee state pride song" or a "bluegrass hit", but pretty much everyone associates that song with the University of Tennessee.

Google Nashville right now and there are only positive things being said. We can do nothing wrong...except lose
Rocky Top is a sanctioned State Song of Tennessee

I'm not even mad that the greatest college football coach of all time wants to root for a Tennessee team. I find it hilarious

I long for the days when PhatPhil was by far and away the worst UT poster.

Its almost as weird as a song written by a Tennessean about Tennessee being sung by 100,000+ Bammers in Bryant Denney.
Dixieland Delight for you slow folks

More like missed the opportunity for Birmingham to be Nashville or Atlanta some 50 years ago. That's at the feet of corrupt Birmingham politics.
