Both Ainge and Hooker love Ferguson I agree. But that has nothing to do with the QB competition. I, like you, was very skeptical of Ferguson but he and Worley are both well ahead of Dobbs.

Ferguson is similar to Bray in that he is a w*gger and maybe doesn't make the best decisions off the field, but he cares a lot more about football.

^That rumor came from Nashville Radio. Malone's campus guide was Dobbs and Malone himself mentioned all the QBs. Actually that rumor proves my point about local media. There's been an enormous push for Fergy in the media since last season - did you forget Fergy's Uncle and Father going on the radio pushing for PT?

I don't know how familiar you are with Ferguson, but he was raised in an area that was predominantly black. Considers himself black. Hangs out with the black players on the team, dates black girls, etc. That is what I meant by that. Also had a few issues last fall off the field.

The difference is that he cares a lot about winning and losing and producing, where as Bray was much more laid back about everything.

^That's still an unnecessarily offensive term to use. His cultural tastes in music, women, and friends aren't really relevant unless you're trying to say they're wrong or he's embracing bad elements. If you're trying to say he hangs out with the wrong people that's one thing but people aren't wrong just because of their color. I can hang out with the wrong white guys just as easy as I can hang out with the wrong black guys.

I honestly didn't mean it in a derogatory way. I'm pretty sure he would call himself that. It's just how he grew up, so I'm not judging him or saying it's bad. If you know of a word that would better describe him, let me know.

It was just a quick way of comparing him to Bray because Bray was described the same way by some.

^It's cool. I just don't like that word anymore than it's counterpart. I've heard it used too many times by racists that didn't mean anything nice about it.

Back on topic. Found the rest of Jones' quote:

quote:

@Vol_Football: JONES (on QBs):We are balancing repetitions. Justin & Riley have taken more reps and they will continue to. Nate & Josh continue to progress

@Vol_Football: JONES: So much growth in a player can occur over summer months. We will make a decision on our starter in training camp.
