I'm not going to argue the call. It's commonly accepted as good sportsmanship that you don't launch yourself into the back of a player who is giving himself up. By the time the ball carrier got his buttocks on the ground the defender had ample time to react differently, unless he lacks class

He had to be retaught how to tackle when he arrived at Bama. He was gonna break is own neck due to using the launched missile technique.
HS coaches need to help correct poor technique. Need to see what you hit and wrap up.
On the other hand how many running backs lower their head and launch into a defender? Has Leonard Fournette ever crowned a defender? I think they called a personal foul on Trent Richardson his rookie year in the pros for leading with the crown of his helmet. I see more of it in college than in the pros.

Very deserving. He is maybe the fastest and hardest hitting linebacker we've had under Saban. It's hard to choose a favorite between McClain, Hightower, Mosley, Ragland, and Foster. We really have been spoiled.
