In the last several weeks several posters have put together threads regarding percentages for winning out, indexes for the power of SEC teams, etc.
Admittedly I don't know what this stuff is, I'm kind of dumb, and therefore I don't even know what to google.
For those with a grasp of what I'm referring to, can you point me in the right direction or update with additional info? Particularly, I think whatever metric it was really, really, liked Ole Miss to beat everyone. I want to see what it says in light of the recent losses to LSU and Auburn.
Thanks.

You will be given no such metric and you will walk away satisfied if not slightly shamed.

Here's a metric measurement taken from the Arky board:

We just need to drop football altogether and focus on other sports. We will never win shite. 22 years and not a single fricking conference title. We are what they say we are. fricking MSU is seeing success we will never have. MF'ing MSU!!!!! Time for the fricking excuses to end. Our coaches and AD need to win or gtfo. 2 more years, then asta la vista ya fat frick!!! I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever win another fricking conference game.

Go to ESPN and pick out any team. Click the schedule tab on the page of each individual team. There you will see another tab labeled FPI.

I don't think what I'm looking for is FPI, but I will check. I just used that because I think what was posted was a similar system but which had different valuations for the teams from the SECW.

Arky played a great game and I hope Bret's wife gave Hunter Henry a post-game hummer. Dude can find a thrown football.

The FPI still has Ole Miss number 3. They have them at 100% to beat Presbyterian, 66% to beat Arkansas on the road, and 64% to beat MSU at home.
FPI right now is:
1. Auburn
2. Bama
3. Ole Miss
4. Oklahoma
5. Oregon
6. FSU
7. Miss St
8. Ohio State
9. Georgia
10. Baylor
11. LSU
12. TCU
13. USC
14. Mich St
15. UCLA
16. ND
17. Kansas St
18. Wisconsin
19. Clemson
20. Arkansas
21. Stanford
22. Texas A&M
23. Florida
24. Arizona
25. Nebraska
Some outcomes that are just hard to explain based on season results and the old "eye test."

FPI is used to calculate all the things you are looking for. It's all in the link.

Ok thanks. I assumed that these systems were proprietary/specific to the media outlet, but it looks like that's not the case.

RT @ClowESPN: According to ESPN’s Strength of Record metric, it's harder for avg top 25 team to go 7-1 vs Auburn’s sked than 8-0 vs FSUs
Is this what you were looking for? Also, this was posted based on the past weekends results from Bill Connelly
