Mfrs tried to convince everyone, including theirself it was a good hire. When daddy vitello said no thanks, and they had to beg everyone else until a shitty pac 12 coach finally agreed they had to act like it was some great hire Here they are worse off than they were with pawl. Ya hate to see it

I still don't understand why Tennessee fans need LSU to have wanted their coach so much?
Does it give them validation or something?

They are doing the same thing with Kelly. It’s amusing.

Tell me about Vitello's first two seasons at Tennessee.

Bet Jay Johnson wins a natty before Vitello does. Vitello will never win one

c'mon, let's get real. LSU got good when ole Bertman starting using the lottery to fund schollies for the baseball player. He said it himself. LSU was a middle of the pack SEC baseball school until the lotto. Then they dominated until all SEC states (except one) passed it into law and they have gone back to the middle of the pack.
When you thought of Louisiana you never thought of friggin baseball. They just didn't have to bust up 11.7 schollies like everybody else did. Now that most everybody has the lottery they haven't won shite. The 90's are gone and they are having a hard time accepting they won't ever be THAT LSU baseball program.

At least others try to hide their anger with something clever. You weren't even trying there.

Vitello was 29-27 his first year.
Was he a failure?
