Yet Auburn thinks they hit a home run. Meanwhile, LSU nation is rejoicing that he is leaving.

Who do you see saying it's a home run?

Who said that?

If he was so bad, why did LSU try to keep him?

Why are y'all making me defend Auburn fans??

There is literally not one AU fan that has said anything close to this being a "home run hire".

About 85% of them are pissed and melting and threatening porn bombs and the other 15% are taking a "wait and see" approach.

I love when they make shite up to fit their narrative.

Unless he plans on staying at AU 6 years - because that's how much time he needs before he is fully vested.

And that's assuming he didn't cash out either time he left Bama. You've got 5 years to return to service if you leave with less than 10. He left the first time in 2008 and didn't return until 2013.

It is a shite hire, imo.

That being said, it changes nothing.

Gus lives or dies by the offense next year.

Seriously though. considering the head coach is half way out the door it's not a bad hire.

All need to simmer down now. Nobody knows the facts on whether miles wanted him to stay or leave. Say want you want about miles but he treats his assistants with a lot of respect and doesn't fire them. Because of that it leaves Lsu up for ridicule. Steele did a decent job in one year and may be a good hire for auburn. I am not in love with him staying or leaving. I wanted coach o all along so that should work out but also coaching changes always make the situation vulnerable.

It really doesn't matter. Either school was going to be screwed to have him as DC. Auburn won the shitshow. Whoopeeee

Do you even remember what fielding a good defense was like?

Me either, so this hire won't really impact us.

It's silly to think a DC hire won't affect us. Is it worth melting over? Nope

We're making fun of ourselves for the hire. At least we aren't touting it as an upgrade.

Except On BR radio it is being reported LSU matched the offer. His brother is at Auburn and he gets pension in 6 years. Les Miles did not LET him go. No coach wants to hire 2 defensive coordinators in two years you're talking out of your butt.

YEP...very shitty hire.....there is no way to spin it,either....now, if it was for a position coaching job, thats another matter, but as DC?.....shitty ain't even close to how bad of a hire it was

LSU fans are revisionist. They make shite up all the time. It's the same narrative every time they get shite in their fingers spin it the best you can.
