Disclaimer: I know, offseason

Saw a post from someone in another thread that mentioned their Grandfather played football and basketball at Bama in the 30's. I'm interested to see how many bloodlines we have to the SEC on the board. If you had a relative that played in the SEC, post it here.

My Grandad played basketball for UT from 51'-54'. Also had a football scholarship at FB and would've been on the 51' NC team under the General if he chose to play.

Elvin Little -- head basketball coach for 19 years [1960-1978]...three-letter winner in basketball at Tennessee [1951-53]...won state basketball title at Lenior City in 1958...state runner-up at Science Hill in 1968...as athletic director, hired George Pitts.

Little fun fact is he was HBC's basketball coach in HS at Science hill. Spurrier actually stopped by his house last month because my grandad was interviewed by ESPN recently for an upcoming documentary about SS that will be shown on the SEC network.

My uncle tried to walk on the OM football team. He failed. Badly. He now coaches at a private school and tells wonderful, inspiring stories of how he washed out as a wannabe walk-on at OM.

I have a cousin who plays football for Auburn right now, so I got that going for me, I guess.

I ran cross country and track at Auburn. Had a couple of cousins that wrestled there as well.

Little brother was a walk on for the A&M football team his freshman year (which coincided with my last semester as a student, so that was kinda cool). Played inside linebacker.

He graduates next month from Mays Business School.

Got a cousin that played at Boise State not too long ago, but we're not close.

I share an obscure last name with a popular Gamecock Baseball player, I figure we've got to be related somehow. Other than that, no. Got some B1G athletes in the family but no SEC.

I think you meant to say:

Since he's still playing at Auburn, and still my cousin. If you're going to correct my grammar, make sure you actually correct my grammar.

My dad played offensive tackle at LSU 85-87. Injury going into the 87 season cut his career short.
