And what's so crazy is LSU won the West in '01 with a 5-3 record, then beat #2 Tennessee in Atlanta, destroyed Illinois in the Sugar Bowl, and finished 10-3 and #6 in the country...

The only time a West team won the division with a 5-3 record they beat a #2 in the country ranked Vol team.

So much for thinking TN could lose 2 in that stretch of UF, @UGA, @A&M and Bama and still win the East.

He was in Florida at the cfb awards show the Wednesday of the game for starters. When Josh Reed won the biletnikoff award and they announced he and Saban were in BR getting ready for the SECCG they cut to Fulmer who had a not so bright look on his face.

LSU wins the SEC with the worst conference record in 01 and wins the national title in 07 with two losses and LSU fans always say Bama has all the luck and gets all the breaks.

Looking back at it...I had forgotten that '09 was the only year both teams were undefeated in conference. Thanks for doing the work.

Really? From the chart, the West did it TWICE as many times as the East (8-4).
