The Third Saturday in October
LINK

It's supposed to be pretty good if a little Bama-centric because of the author but I've heard all in all he does a pretty fair job. The book is dated but from what I understand it explains a great deal about the rivalry and why it will always be very, very, special to Bama and Tennessee fans. I haven't gotten to read it myself but it's on my wish list.

If someone else has read it they can give you a better idea or maybe check the amazon reviews.

Slaughterhouse Five. It's an allegorical tale about Joker Phillips' effect on the (at the time) rising Kentucky program.

Has, literally, nothing to do with SEC football.
