I kind of remember being impressed how well he handled the kick six, he was impressed and amazed and congratulatory. You wouldn't have even known he was a Bama grad.
It was Holtz who looked like life had been sucks out of him, which is possible for him.

Oh, he's a fan. A really big Alabama fan, but a professional first and foremost.

100% correct. As he once told me... "I'm on scholarship to ESPN." Rece absolutely loves Bama... but knows when he has a job to do.

No, Rece's contract was in negotiations and he recently changed agents who are more aggressive IMHO. Fowler made a concession - off Game Day, more game action calling, less overall travel, net increase in pay - in order to create a slot to move Rece to College Gameday.
Rece will cover Game day, drop Thursday night calls of game action, and continue Game Day basketball.
I look for a new host for the studio with Lou and Mark staying there for a year or two, then for Mark to move to Game Day. Pure speculation on my part but there are some good reasons for that to happen.

He is definitely 100% Alabama, just knows how to be professional about it and does it well. The only times Rece even slightly goes homer is when he is provoked by someone like that douche Danny Kanell. Even then, he isn't annoying about it.
