once the bear makes its first appearance its only a matter of time before rebels is taken away. I give it 3 years if ole miss is lucky they can keep the colors for a few years after they lose the rebels name.

I don't get the bear thing but a live one is cool.

once ole miss fails to win anything for the next few years the pc crowd will claim its because of the rebels name and how it is racist then kiss it good bye its gone. the colors and ole miss will be the last things left and it will only be a little bit before those go as well.

How myopic of you. The "pc crowd" doesn't base their opinions and claims primarily on that of football. Sure, some (Tommy Tuberville, for example) have said that certain bits of Old South imagery have hurt Ole Miss' recruiting, and we all know that State has for decades been telling recruits that we're racist (some of the stuff posted on CJ Johnson's wall was evidence enough of that), but these changes have as much to do with fundraising and academics as they do with football.
There's way more to all of our schools than just their football teams. Expand the horizons of your thought process a bit, will ya?

they can expand the racist claims of rebels to fit whatever they need to say if we get rid of it we will get more of this or that. either way ole miss will lose the name rebels its only a matter of time. they have bent over backwards to be pc and give up their history. it will be a sad day when ole miss is no longer the rebels

some ole miss fans are but to many ole miss fans are liberals and agree to just bend over and let whatever group have its way with ole miss.
if LSU was like ole miss in this respect we wouldn't have a live tiger mascot as we would have caved into peta or we wouldn't even be called the tigers because it comes from the civil war. its sad to see ole miss losing its history, its one thing to laugh at ole miss for failing in sports but this is truly sad.
