Everybody's keeping up the charade. Not a lot of Auburn fans actually sincerely saying they bought themselves a national title when they lured Cam. Sure, plenty of them will joke about it, but most of them would get their hackles up if someone took them seriously. It's just whistling in the dark.
So, yeah, I roll my eyes at fanbases who go nuts for any faint hope that their rival is getting outed as cheaters, because they're delusional if they think their own program is any better. The fact that most of them get genuinely upset when their rival trolls them back is just icing on the irony cake. College sports fans are, by and large, a hypocritical group.
