I don't understand how Kirby did it. If I was an elite transfer receiver I wouldn't go to Georgia and I'm a Georgia fan. Georgia led the nation in completions to tight ends/running backs. It's been several years since a Georgia wide receiver even sniffed a thousand yards.

My only guess is that Kirby promised Thomas and Lovett that there wouldn't be nearly as many two tight end sets next season with Darnell Washington leaving. Kirby probably sold Carson Beck's big-arse right arm, too.

Georgia will have one 5-star offensive lineman next season and no 5-star defensive tackles next season, for whatever it's worth.

I think both RaRa and Lovett will be major contributors in the two deep rotation in 23.

Agreed. If Uga doesn’t get bored by their cruise-control schedule, they may very well be the favorites to three-peat next year. Crazy.

the story in 2023 will be the exact same as last year and this year; the threat to us winning it all isn't going to be in our regular season game 1-12 schedule. The only threats last year/this year/next year to prevent us from winning are 1)alabama 2)someone in the playoffs, more than likely ohio state

michigan, tcu, clemson, usc, ou, etc don't have a chance at beating us.

Let me help from here.
WG is probably the best UGA contributor on the Rant. He provides details and facts to support any opinion he expresses.
Diddly. The whole thread was about next year as was the first sentence in the paragraph of your response. Don’t expect anyone to now believe your second sentence was about this year with no transition.
Just allow yourself to be wrong. It doesn’t hurt.

What is wrong with you people? What exactly was I wrong about? It’s just miscommunication. Why exactly would I say one thing then change my mind and say something else for no reason? It’s a pathetically weird theory.

I meant this season. I can see how people would think I meant next season. It’s pretty simple.

Now who the hell are you and why is WG’s dick so far up your throat?

Why do you think I said you were wrong? Just because I wrote it and posted it? I meant something entirely different that my words didn’t say.

Who am I? I am someone who appreciates quality informative or humorous posts and who is done with you on this one.

Back to how good UGA will be next year depends a lot on QB play. Beck will be the starter barring injury unless something dramatic changes. Based on performance to date and Kirby’s approach.

For kirby to start anyone OTHER than beck in 2023 it would be completely out of character.

I disagree. Monken wants mobility.
Beck could lose the job solely because of that.

How good is carson beck? He's only ever played in mopup duty so we don't really know. If he falters we'll have brock/gunner both of which have barely any experience on a college field at all.

The current UGA QB room has to be the most UGA QB room ever when it comes to first names. Stetson, Carson, Gunner, and Brock are extremely UGA QB names.

I still think that is to be determined.

Out of the 3 backup QBs, Gunner Stockton has looked best on scout team (against our #1 defense).

That still needs to translate to our own offensive scheme which is a big ask. But performing against the best defense in the country is a big task. Like Stet, Gunner is making plays.

His 20 yard run vs Sc and 14 yard run vs vandy already determined it imo. Kid can move.

I've always felt that Gunnar was the one recruited to play the type of ball that Kirby and Monken seem to have been preaching.

If it's him, good. If it's Carson, great. I'm done questioning anything that THIS staff decides to offer up.

I was annoyed with the Stetson starting over Daniels after Daniels was ready to go. I had a lot of doubts.

I have accepted the fact that I was wrong about My feelings on that, as well as my feelings on Searles.

I was WROOOOONG.

LAWD HELP, MEH.

Lol

SC and Vandy.
Mmmmkay.

I'm not saying that Beck is JT Daniels.
I am saying that Monken values mobility. And the guy who can create plays against the UGA defense may have a leg up if he can replicate that in our own offensive scheme. Again, it is a big ask. But that will determine the starter.

Don’t focus on the opponent, focus on the proven ability to evade a pass rush and run for a first down.

Proven ability?
He's never done it on a 3rd down.

I can agree to disagree, mate.
If I'm wrong, I will say I'm wrong.

I'm not sure the kid has "it".
