I don't care who LSU plays as long as we're there but I still say Bama has an uphill climb. Being idle while Oregon plays a conference championships game is going to really hurt.

I would agree. Our only saving grace is that they play a bad Oregon State team next week, and the championship game will be at home, not neutral site, against a mediocre Arizona St.

It could still happen, but I think that may be enough to do it. I think if Oregon jumps us, it will be this weekend. If it doesnt happen this weekend, when they are playing USC and we are playing a Division 2 team, then I just dont think it happens. Could be wrong, but that's just my gut feeling knowing how the BCS has worked in the past.

Bama fans should be careful what they wish for because you might actually get it. What would it do to the program if you lost to LSU twice in one season? Now you can just say you had an off night but if you were to lose again.....?

Not gonna lie, ive already thought of this and it would be....the worst. We would have to hear it for the rest of our lives. And that would suckkkkkkkkk.

I guess it would be the same for lsu fans if you already beat us in the reg season but lost to us in the NCG.

Disagree. I think if Oregon blows out USC tonight then Bama will lose some West Coast voters. Not enough to be jumped though.

However, if Oregon wins big in the PAC12 title game while Bama sits at home ... The media machine will be all over that game and flip enough to push Oregon over Bama.

Oklahoma is still interesting actually. Computer score is close to Bama but Bama plays an FCS team today. Also, with a Penn St. loss to OSU and a Oklahoma win over top 10 Oklahoma St. the computer score may be enough to jump Bama even if the voters do not.

However, it is my opinion that Bama is the second best team and most deserving ... Just interesting to see how the chips fall.

LSUmatt has been right more times than anyone on espn.

Just because you're an announcer on espn does not make you an expert on the bcs.

Doesn't LSUmatt have a phd in Mathematics and statistics or something?

Whatever it is, the guy has been on the money throughout the years.

The only fear I see is the fear that bama fans are showing by knowing they have only an outside shot at getting in the championship game.

True, and Penn State has a great chance of losing their next 2 games - and then then if LSU beats Arky...Bama doesn't have any good wins on the resume. Who knows, maybe Bama still does make it, but I'll take lsumatt's opinion over arbitrary baseless predictions. However, if someone wants to show me the math why Bama will still make it, I'll gladly listen.

All you bammers better become huge Oregon fans. Im serious...yalls best bet is having 1LSU 2Bama 3 UO 4OU going into the last week because yall need to have the media debating which is the better rematch not whether OU should get a shot. As it stands right now pollsters have difficulty jumping OU all the way to 2. If Oregon loses this week and OU is sitting at 3 it becomes easy for media to say oh OU was looking ahead....OU should at least get a shot...Bama had their chance...OU CRUSHED OSU...they are peaking at the right time etc......also the computers LOVE the big 12......IMO Bama needs to keep Oregon in between them and OU if they want ANY chance of a rematch

With a Okie lite loss, it was and now is going to come down to the voters.

If Okie lite was undefeated in the bedlam game it would have almost definitely put OU in the title game provided they won out.

Now it's in the hands of the voters and the computers.. Oklahoma still has about the same shot as Alabama does, if the voters act normal.

Oregon is much more likely though.

A win over the #2 team would have given them a big bump, but now if they beat OSU it won't be near as big.

Ga Southern and Auburn are clearly bigger.

It's gonna hurt even more for the gumps when Oregon or ou goes

Motherfricking this. The more the Gumps get their hopes up the happier I get! Either way it's a win for LSU. Deep down those sore losers are scared to death to play LSU again. They have everything to lose. LSU already beat them in Tuscaloser. If they were to lose again it would be fricking epic. You saw how uptight those sore losers were Nov 5th? Imagine how uptight Saban would have the sore losers on Jan 9! Les and LSU having already proved they are the better team would come in loose and beat the sweet tea out of those rednecks!

It won't happen though Gumps, because you won't get in.
