Ranking the SEC this week
Pretty much agree with this. You could argue that Auburn should be in Tier 2 with Missouri but I don't think Auburn's defense is as good as Missouri's and the offenses are probably about the same. We will probably know after Missouri plays A&M and Auburn plays Georgia.

We beat 2 ranked opponents. We beat them so badly they're no longer ranked. We can only play the teams on our schedule.

NO DUMMY.
ALL OF THOSE TEAMS WOULD BE FAVORED OVER AUBURN ON A NEUTRAL FIELD.
Remember 2005 ? Bama was 10-0 but still an average team getting lucky vs. Tenn. , Auburn is an average team , LSU proved that.

quote:This. I think you should put Auburn with Mizzou at this point. We will find out a lot more about all these teams over the next couple weeks, but from what we have seen so far, looks about right minus moving Auburn up a tier.

This still looks about right. Maybe move Florida and UT into Tier V, and USCe into Tier II?

I think he was trying to do something there.

and USCe into Tier II?
Mizzou and USCe have now both completed their full SEC East schedules.
Mizzou outscored its six SEC East opponents by a total of 109 points.
South Carolina outscored its six SEC East opponents by a total of 12 points.
109 to 12.
I'll let you decide from that if Mizzou and USCe belong in the same tier, or if the fourth quarter of Mizzou's game with USCe was in fact a massive fluke upset that would be unlikely to happen again if replayed many times over.

USCe's win was a fluke. But, flukes count. Ask Auburn. I just hope one doesn't happen next week.

Ah the famous "tier" system.
