Ranking the SEC after Week 8

Here are my rankings, along with some interesting facts for most of the teams:
1. Alabama
*Alabama sits way out front right now. But they just played Game 1 out of 3 against the SEC's three other best teams.
*Bama has now won 20 consecutive games. Going back to the mid 1950s, only five times has an SEC program achieved a winning streak of 20+ games. Three of those five streaks belong to Alabama.
2. Texas A&M
*The Aggies may have lost the game this weekend, but they are likely 5 wins away from achieving the #1 resume of any non-Power 5 Conference Champion of 2016. If Washington, Baylor/W. Virginia, or even Clemson slip up between now and the end of the year, A&M can make a decent case of being included in the Playoff.
3. Auburn
*Auburn has established themselves as one of the nation's best First Half teams. They have outscored opponents 142-43 in the first half so far this season. Even if you go back to last season, the Tigers have either led or been tied at the half in 11 of their last 15 games (7 of which were against Top 25 teams). In the four games in which they trailed at the half, their halftime deficits have been just 6, 6, 7, and 7 points, respectively.
4. LSU
LSU's two losses so far are against teams ranked #11 and #15 currently in the AP Poll... they were by a combined 7 points.
5. Tennessee
Opposite of Auburn, the Vols have got to be one of the nation's worst First Half Teams. Tennessee has been outscored 65-113 so far this season in the first half.
6. Florida
Florida looks like they'll have to wait until November 19th to get their first test against a CURRENT Top 25 team in the S&P rankings. Florida's first six opponents are currently ranked #26, #40, #70, #94, #100, & #119... that's six opponents with an average S&P ranking of just 75. How do their next three opponents look? #74 Georgia, #62 Arkansas, and #99 South Carolina. Due to a Hurricane and overall weak scheduling, it may be the week before Thanksgiving before we know how good (or bad) this Florida team really is.
7. Arkansas
*The 2016 Hogs are a part of history. In the history of the AP Poll (since 1936), out of 18,087 games played by Top 20 teams, only 13 times has a Top 20 team lost a game by 50 or more points.
*Bert is now a combined 1-11 in four seasons against SEC West foes Alabama, Texas A&M, and Auburn. The lone win came in four overtimes. The average score against these four opponents?... Arkansas 21, Opponent 40
8. Ole Miss
The 2016 Rebels may be one of the wackiest teams to have to watch in the history of college football. Ole Miss has held a lead in all seven of their games. They've led by double-digits in six of their seven games. And if you take their largest lead in each of their first seven contests, Ole Miss is averaging getting out to a lead of 21.3 points in each of their games. Somehow, they have a record of 3-4.
9. Georgia
Georgia has been outscored so far on the season 176-185. With five opponents left, the Dawgs are in danger of being outscored on the season for the first time since 1996. Georgia has outscored it's opponents by 90 points or more on the season in 15 of the past 16 seasons. Since 1997, Georgia averages outscoring its opponents on the season by 139 points each year. Needless to say, this is a down year for Georgia football.
10. Kentucky
The SEC finds itself in an odd situation when simultaneously Mark Stoops is on the hot seat in Lexington, yet Kentucky is still mathematically in the hunt for the SEC East in late October. According to ESPN FPI, there is a 0.23% chance that Kentucky represents the East in Atlanta. A win over Missouri this weekend would cause those odds to skyrocket up to 0.88%.
11. Vanderbilt
The Commodores are so close, yet so far away. They are only 18 points shy of being 4-0 in SEC play with sole possession of first place in the East. But yet they find themselves at 1-3 in the SEC play, having lost by 3 points to South Carolina... 7 points to Florida... and 7 points to Kentucky. Vandy's most likely path to a bowl would be to get wins over Missouri and Ole Miss. Stranger things have happened.
12. Mississippi State
The other Bulldogs also find themselves dreaming of what could have been had some balls bounced the other way. MSU came up a combined 6 points short in regulation against South Alabama (1-point loss), LSU (3-point loss), BYU (OT loss), and Kentucky (2-point loss). Had those four games gone the other way, MSU would be likely be headed towards a 7-1 record entering the month of November. Instead they're staring down a 3-8 season in Mullen's eighth year in Starkville.
13. South Carolina
If there is one source of pride for the Gamecocks, its that they've played seven games and not lost any by more than 14 points.
14. Missouri
Mizzou may own two SEC East titles, but they've now given the SEC two of their more embarrassing SEC losses of the past five seasons: Their 2014 loss to Indiana and now their loss to MTSU.
1. Alabama
*Alabama sits way out front right now. But they just played Game 1 out of 3 against the SEC's three other best teams.

A&M's D is not good enough to win out.
Sorry.
Sorry.

Aggys should be favored in every game they have left. But I would be surprised if they get through it unscathed.

it's a sad state of affairs for the sec as a whole if we're #7 after the gutting we received last weekend.

Our D is solid, just banged up right now

Not flaming, but I just don't see how A&M stops LF7 or any RB LSU trots out there.

Here's the doomsday scenario for the playoff:
1. (PAC 12) Washington loses to Washington State. Washington State wins the PAC 12 at 11-2 after losing to Eastern Washington to start the year.
2. (ACC) Clemson loses to Florida State. Louisville beats Houston. North Carolina (11-2) wins the ACC.
3. (Big 12) Oklahoma beats West Virginia and Baylor, loses to Oklahoma State, winning the Big 12 at 9-3 (8-1). Baylor loses to Texas, beats West Virginia.
4. (Big Ten) Ohio State beats Michigan, loses to Wisconsin (11-2) in the title game.
5. Alabama goes 13-0. Texas A&M goes 11-1.
At this point, you have the following conference champions:
SEC - Alabama (13-0)
ACC - North Carolina (11-2)
Big Ten - Wisconsin (11-2)
PAC 12 - Washington State (11-2)
Big 12 - Oklahoma (9-3)
Then you have the following 0/1-loss teams:
Boise State: 13-0
Western Michigan: 13-0
Michigan: 11-1
Texas A&M: 11-1
Louisville: 11-1
Washington: 11-1
In THIS scenario, who are your playoff teams?

Myles has been out or only playing key third downs in the games we've given up big rushing numbers in. If he's healthy it changes everything. But we've held our opponents below an average of 20 regardless, y'all cannot keep us under 20.
How about this scenario, y'all lose to Bama and Florida or Arkansas, do you see LF going all out in a meaningless game(for y'all) at years end?

Why not Louisville, whose only loss would be to Top 10 Clemson? Why not Washington State, who would be on an 11-game win streak and a conference champion?

WSU isn't getting into the playoff with a loss to E. Washington on their schedule.
No team from the BIG 12 will get into the playoff with more than 1 loss.
At that point, Texas A&M making the playoff is an easy choice. Their one loss would be to #1 Alabama on the road.... wins over Auburn, LSU, Tennessee, etc.
North Carolina is a tough one, but with an ACC Championship under their belt and wins over Clemson and Florida State, I think they for sure get the #4 spot.

What about Michigan, whose only loss would be to Ohio State and would be 1-0 vs. Wisconsin, the Big Ten Champion?
What about Louisville, whose only loss would be to Clemson?
What about Boise State, who would be unbeaten and would have a victory over the PAC 12 champion?

Fair. Hoping Bentely emerging gets us a win that we shouldn't and we can get to a bowl game. Tall task
Would have to win two of Mizzou, Tennessee, Florida, Clemson.
Mizzou and Tennessee being the "easiest". They're at home. I say it like that because it won't be easy at all. Mizzou has a good offense but shite defense. Tennessee is just all around better.
Clemson, no way in hell. Florida will be tough because it's at the swamp.
Only win I can say for sure right now is Western Carolina
