Mike the Tiger is coolest real mascot out there. Eagle flying into stadium is one of the coolest traditions.

Nothing beats Roll Tide Roll (unbiased opinion).

This one should have been let go, but adopting the Bears to go along was even more lame.

The original mascot was the Flood to go with the Tulane Wave and the Crimson Tide.

Really, 7 pages worth of rustled jimmies passes my benchmark for successful troll threads. Mine usually don't get past two-three pages.

This thread is a successful jimmie-rustler. Got off to a rocky start and didn't hold much promise at first, but you pulled through

Someone at work asked once about the "damn elephant". Since then Big Al is known to me as the Damn Elephant.

So all three schools have some REAL tiger connection?

The regimnet out of louisiana in the civil war were called the "fighting tigers". thats where the mascot came from dipshit. Reason why LSU are the only real tigers.

There is no REAL connection between REAL tigers, which are seemingly the name and mascot of LSU's team

What's ammazing is that after countless people explain it to you, you still can't understand.

However, I hope you keep this up, I'm curious as to what level of stupidity you can take this to in the next hour. You've united every fan base in one thread which is impressive on here.

Nice try at a troll but much to be desired. UK was playing football about a decade before everybody else in the SEC. It was original back then and now everybody has copied their mascot. It is not vague as it was based on a historical game when the comment was made that they "played like wildcats" and it stuck. I think at one time they had live wildcats at the game but the ASPCA may have ended that.

Sort of true...UK played 3 games in 1881 (all three games against Kentucky University (which would later be known as Transyilvania University). UK then played their next game 10 years later in 1891 (at the same time other SEC schools were starting the sport).

It's not their fault. They've just never had a coach there that could get the job done.

Oh wait, nevermind. I forgot about this guy.
