I edited, hillbilly.

I stand by my opinion that Lexington, Nashville, and Fayetteville are all nicer cities than Knoxville.

Maybe proof read next time - irony.

Since when does "nicer cities" = better? You probably haven't even been back to the old city in Knoxville in years.. back when it was completely dead.

In terms of which city is "nicer" then yes Fayetteville is nicer. But just because a city is "nicer", it doesn't mean I'm going to enjoy my experience there more than another city with more to offer. Knoxville has more to offer than both Lexington and Fayetteville - only Nashville would have more to offer.

Ok, homer.

Find one other person that's not a Tennessee fan on here who would say that Knoxville is a better city than Lexington. I'd be shocked.

Anyone that has been to both knows Knoxville has a lot more to offer than Lexington. More pleasant on the eyes =/= a better city.

1 thing is for sure. Mississippi State has the most beautiful campus in the SEC. Have you seen our grass? Les Miles wouldn't know what to do with himself.

Lexington is far more pleasant on the eyes, but it offers more than that.

What does Knoxville have that rivals Keeneland? The thoroughbred farms on the outskirts? The Bourbon distilleries that are practically right there? The lack of pumpkin orange?

Hey if the criteria for a great city is an abundance of fields and cow pastures then Starkville and Auburn certainly vault to near the top of the list. They certainly have you there.

You obviously don't know what a thoroughbred farm is if you think it's a cow pasture. They're multi million dollar places. The prince of Dubai owns a thoroughbred farm right outside of Lexington.

I know exactly what it is - but it doesn't interest me in going back to see it more than once in a life time.

Like I said, find someone on here who's been to both and prefers Knoxville, and I'll be fricking shocked.

ETA: Someone who doesn't attend UTk.

So I need to go recruit them to this thread?

UT really isn't that bad. A good power-washing of the older buildings would help. It has a great setting.

I'm sure so many people on the Rant have been to all 14 campuses and are objective and informed enough to make a decent list....

That's a fair point - I haven't been to Columbia, College Station or BR.

No. I'm not saying that you don't have the better game atmosphere, although that might change soon. I'm just saying that people who have been to both more than likely have a lot more fun around Lexington than Knoxville.
