If the season happens of course.

1. QBs - Have the top returning starter in the SEC and a very good back up. Very set at QB which is relieving after years of shite.

2. Defensive line

3. TEs - Pitts of course and his back up Zipperer was very highly touted but unproven

4. Receivers

5. DBs

6. Special teams (K/P)

7. LB - Loaded talent wise but young

8. RB - Pierce is good. Rest unproven.

9. Offensive line - Argh..we shall see.

1. Recievers - Mostly all returning minus Jefferson and a few backup seniors. Definitely our best unit.

2. DBs - lost two starters but get back alot of talent, and young talent at that.

3. Defensive Line - Return a lot of veteran players to our new 4 down front.

4. Special Teams - Good kicker and punter

5. LB - Lost 4 starters at linebacker, but our backups are just as good and brought in Jabril Cox, should be just as good as last year.

6. Offensive Line - With all the injuries the past few years, all of our starters next year have had alot of playing time. Should be a good unit.

7. Running Backs - not much playing time between the 3 returners, but when they did play, they did great.

8. QB - Myles Brennan should be decent but behind him are 2 freshman, not an experienced group at all.

9. TE - No returning players at all at TE, bring in 2 good freshman but have no depth and no experience.

Offense

QB- B-: Franks comes in with decent stats and starting SEC exp. A couple of talented young backups in the wings

RB- C+: Boyd returns and should be one of the best backs in the conference however beyond that we have nothing but a bunch of untested guys.

WR- B: Thin but some talent to work with. Burks is a monster and Knox has good size and hands. Woods will make some catches.

TE: D-: We have hunter henrys brother...... and thats it.

OL- F : They may improve through the year but going in they deserve this ranking. Bert dropped the ball recruiting and Chad didn't help much either. The O-Line has been a shite show for us for several years. Pittman will need every bit of his OL mojo to fix this unit.

Defense

DL- C: This is the right grade as they are just average. We have some talent and add a transfer from Clemson. Going to a 3 man front will help the depth of this unit.

LB- D-: Bumper Pool is good but we don't have much else here.

DB- C+: We actually have a good bit of talent here both young and older. Have to see how they develop. I think this unit is our best talent wise on defense.

Special Teams

FG- Unproven person

P - Average or unproven person

1. WR - Burks and Knox both made all-freshman teams last year and Woods returns as a 3rd year starter. Former 4-stars Shamar Nash and Darin Turner will also factor in.

2. RB - Boyd should be one of the better backs in the SEC, Arizona State transfer Trelon Smith really impressed people during his sit-out year last year, TJ Hammonds enters his 5th year and Amontae Spivey redshirted last year.

3. Special teams - Duke transfer kicker AJ Reed is on the Lou Groza watch list and Burks is a dangerous return man. Also got a transfer punter from Michigan.

4. QB - Franks provides SEC experience and backups Jefferson and Hornsby are former 4-stars with a lot of upside. Past that you have John Stephen Jones and Jack Lindsey who both started games last year.

5. DB - On paper, this is one of our most talented units with 4-stars everywhere. However they haven’t been very good (lack of pass rush doesn’t help). With proper coaching they can be solid though, added Arkansas State transfer CB Jerry Jacobs who was on the Thorpe award watch list.

6. OL - Pittman should work wonders for a group that hasn’t been good since Sam left. A lot of players returning on the 2-deep and added a Notre Dame transfer to the inside who sat out last year.

7. TE - Hudson Henry was a highly regarded recruit and should be solid but we just don’t have much depth here. Only 3 TEs on the roster.

8. DL - Signed some 4-stars here last year who may have bright futures and there are a lot of bodies here with potential, but they might have been the worst DL in the SEC last year. Getting our best pass rusher in Dorian Gerald back will be big after he missed all of last year.

9. LB - Added OU transfer Levi Draper but outside of Bumper Pool who is really good, there isn’t a whole lot of talent or depth. Seniors Hayden Henry and Grant Morgan could start so they have experience but both are former walk-ons. Seems we’ve struggled to consistently recruit linebackers as a group for a very long time.

Trask had solid games against 8-5 Tennessee, 4-8 South Carolina, 8-5 Kentucky, and 9-5 Virginia.

But if that is the best position on your team and his best signature wins... that is kind of funny.

145 QB efficiency rating.

That would rank him about 4th in conference based upon end of season averages.

Not bad. But to mark that as the best position on your team?
That is where the humor comes in.

Clemson ran for 3 rushing TDs.

Why throw the ball in the red zone when you can run it in?

I think that's right.
Recruiting at WR for 2019 and 2020 has been above elite for UGA standards. But I don't know if that is good enough to push our OL or RB.

He threw for 250 and 2 TDS on your defense. Not bad for a guy who didn't even play in high school.

Trask is 100% the best returning QB in the conference. Is he the best? Nobody will know until the season is played.

Throwing for 2900 yards and 25 TDS is pretty good for a first year starter.

Didnt watch the LSU game did ya? I know Georgia fans really, really dont like the idea of UF coming back, but being foolish does nothing good for you. Trask numbers were outstanding despite getting pressured every time he dropped back. No reason to believe he will not be even better this year.

1 LB - This year is where these guys shine. Talent, Depth, Experience, and ability to do absolutely everything required for this position at an elite level.

1(b) DB - Leader of the D. Talent at every position. They're working with just a bit a bit less experience than the LBs, but Cine and Stephenson are still future stars.

3 DL - No weak links at all. A healthy Jordan Davis is top 5 in the nation. He doesn't get nearly the pub he should, but a healthy season will correct that.

4 OL - There's talent and experience on this unit - even with the departures. Not as deep as we'd like, and we'll likely have to rely on some youngsters. That said, this is still a solid group.

5 RB - Zeus could have a breakout year. Milton could be exactly what we need. JC could flourish in this offense. Mcintosh could come into his own. At worst they'll be a good unit, but still full of questions.

6 WR - Blaylock's injury drops them below the RBs, but the overall talent on this unit is better. Pickens is All-American caliber, and this may be the most talented class of freshmen WRs ever at UGA. There's elite speed, toughness, and great potential; but will that translate to production?

7 QB - I think Newman ends up higher on this list by season's end, but unproven is still unproven.
