To even begin to understand the historic Missouri /kansas hatred you need but watch the movie "The Outlaw Josey Wales" or read this brief article

The 1861 Jayhawker Raid in Osceola • Missouri Life Magazine

That those scum sucking leaches from hell would honor the murdering, raping "jayhawks" as their mascot says all you need to know.

I'm nearing 70. Before his death at 90+ yo, my great uncle who was born in 1870 passed on the stories he heard as a child about the farm being burned, his cousin (or aunt?) being raped and another woman in the family burning to death at Oceola. A couple of the relatives sought revenge with Quantrill when he burned Lawrence.

What we have isn't a good natured or healthy rivalry. We could have a 20 gap in playing the despised beakers and the hatred would still burn.

For me it’s texas, there are no other rivalries in my eyes.

The thanksgiving game with lsu was cool but that go taken away from us.

Nothing else stirs me very much.

Kentucky in basketball has brought some excitement, maybe that will come back now.

Hmmm, this is always tough for LSU fans. We aren’t really anyone’s main rival and seem to be top 2/3 for quite a few.

If I had to rank mine (43 yrs old)

1. Ole Miss
2. Alabama
3. Auburn
4. UF/Arkansas/A&M

This will look different for most LSU fans.

I’m excited about the new additions and definitely excited about OU to end the year this season.

That's not exactly how rivalries work You can play along all you want. I'm not letting an insurance company tell me who my rivals are.

I don’t base my belief on the Battle Line Rivalry. All it takes is a stroll through any form of social media to see how much the two fanbases don’t like each other. I see the lack of years playing each other excuse being thrown out on here but I guarantee you 20 years from now the question won’t be up for debate and they’ll be considered a rival with no doubt.

It’s plain as day to see but we like to think of ourselves above them and try to act like it’s not. It’s really no different than how LSU has treated us for the past 20 years. You’ll realize it eventually though just like their fans have started to do.

Their fans have no choice because they're the odd man out in terms of their historical connection to any of the teams in this conference. For them it's either force the issue or accept being left out. We're not in that situation. Even moreso now with Texas coming.

When I lived in St Louis I would put it Kansas, Illinois 1 and 2. Nebraska was a close 3rd as I worked with a lot of Nebraska folks. Arkansas is probably 4th now living in the state. Never heard them discussed much while I lived in Missouri. Not rivals, but always enjoy playing KY and SC in football.

Depends on the sport for us but I’d say:

Louisville
Tennessee

UNC (Basketball)
Indiana

And then Missouri and South Carolina football games have been pretty competitive and there always seems to be some off the field shade between the programs

If Arkansas and Mizzou was such a “rivalry,” then why weren’t we rivals for decades already? We weren’t.

You're only thinking about football. We had a pretty good basketball rivalry for years.

Also, the football rivalry is happening whether fans admit it or not. That was evident last season as the game got so chippy. It helps that Drink is from Arkansas and stirring the pot. It's nothing major yet, but it could develop into one.

LSU doesn’t really have rivals because everyone else has an in state or a deeper rivalry, but teams I hate most would be

1) Bama Saban era
2) A&M
3) Georgia
4) Florida
5) Bama DeBust era
6) Ole Miss

It’s all true though. And you’re STILL providing the adolescent “burns”.

Listen to how pathetic you are and try to logically break down what I said, simp.

But you won’t, for two reasons:

1. I’m right.
2. You’re a simp that never can answer a question when asked.

I can’t compete with that. That runs deep.

Why is it that LSU has no big rivalry games? Honestly, I think LSU-Texas could be a really fun game. Would also print money.

Years ago it was always “interesting” to visit the Miz/Kansas boards during game week. Busy time at the Sonic.

Mentioned this to some Missouri fans while tailgating in Lex. Acknowledged I knew Norm Stewart was a Missouri native, played and then coached for the Tigers. Told me while he was coach, he refused to spend a nickel in the state of Kansas when they went to Lawrence for a game.

Liked Stewart even more after that.

Ga Tech mentioning GA in their fight song is pretty strong. Bet that game used to be a dandy.
