For Missouri it’s Kansas and there really isn’t a very close second. Maybe Illinois I don’t know where you’re getting Nebraska and Oklahoma from.

It was always the most "under the radar" rivalry in the country and easily has the best history behind it. Nobody else has anything close to it historically.

It is interesting though that like like Lawrence... Columbia was a Union town during the war... and it was the Missouri Tigers who kept Quantrill from raiding Columbia.

For Mizzou:

Dude, you picked teams you don't play anymore. What kind of rivalry do you guys embrace?

There are historical rivalries and there are rivals that come up because of recent success. The latter will come and go as the football winds blow.

Historical is more certain for my money. The barn and the viles.

I think I identified your problem.

Show me the effort and vitriol, and I can then point out why I diagnosed you as a Karen.

Then look at the post above mine…..it’s not just me. lol. Then look at the teenager post below this one.

You picked teams that NONE of us care about. And you happen to be one of those teams none of us care about.

I’d tell you why you started this post, but we already know.

I suspect the Mizzou fans of a certain age will always view OU and Nebraska as important rivals. I’m sure if you went to school there or started paying attention post-SEC move, those games wouldn’t mean so much. OU diminished even earlier because we stopped playing them annually when the Texas schools joined the Big Eight and we were in different divisions.

I'll give two rankings......the first will be more historical and traditional in its listing before and up to when I was in school @UGA. The second will be what I think UGA's biggest rivals are today.

It must be noted that there is a delineation between "arch" (meaning, "chief") rivals and just normal rivals. Auburn, Florida, and Georgia Tech are our "arch" or "chief" rivals....the others listed are just rivals.

HISTORICAL & TRADITIONAL

1. Georgia Tech (arch rival)-- no question, this has been our biggest and most bitter rivalry up until Tech left the SEC in 1963 and continued into the 1970s.

2. Auburn (arch rival) -- our oldest rival....very bitter, yet congenial "to a point".

3. Florida (arch rival) -- a "fun" rivalry that's now turned mean and bitter today.

4. Clemson -- a hated OOC rival.

TODAY

1. Florida (arch rival) (we wish they'd get nuked and they wish the same for us).

2. Auburn (arch rival) (t-r-a-d-i-t-i-o-n like no other! The Deep South's Oldest Rivalry!! This is pretty close to being even with Florida, in all honesty. Auburn is the program we'd hate to lose on our schedule on a yearly basis more than any other, per us alumni and school administrators).

3. Tennessee (likely to go down when we stop playing them yearly; have never been an intense rival of ours until the divisions began in 1992)

4. Georgia Tech (arch rival) (will always be a big rival....Dawgs fans fear losing to this rival more than any other 'cuz if/when we do, it's holy hell for a whole year! Tech never ever lets us hear the end of it when we lose to them).

5. South Carolina (risen up in the ranks since they joined the SEC in 1992)

Auburn is slightly less shitty than Tennessee.
And they have decent veterinarians.

Schtate gets the nod over LSU although our fanbase rallies around a Rebel win over the Tigers like nothing else.

I can’t say that I’ve ever heard any of my Mizzou friends reference this as a rivalry. Is this more of a North Missouri thing?

Auburn and UT. If you lose either of these games it's a feeling unlike losing to others. UGA has really come on but it's still not like Aub or the Vols.

I'm told that LSU isn't anyone else's rival, so I'll go with that.

For Arkansas-

Texas, A&M, LSU, Ole Miss, ourselves.

In fact, Arkansas gives Arkansas more problems than anyone.

LSU. OU fans do not like LSU fans of the New Orleans variety and still talk about rough treatment back in the day at the Sugar Bowl. However, we hear that LSU peeps are much friendlier in BR.

If being called tigerbait offends you or just being messed with in general. You probably wont have a good time. If you let stuff roll off and give it right back you will meet some good folks with delicious food and booze mostly happy to share

We have no true rivalries, but this is just me on the teams that I like to see us beat:

1. Texas - (this goes back to the Shootout of the Century, 1969)

2. LSU - I really enjoyed the days we pee'd on their pumpkin pie when it was a day after Thanksgiving game.

3. I guess Ole Miss, had a long storied series with them way before the SEC.

4. Everybody else.
