Based on what they've done so far?

1) Texas A&M
2) Alabama
3) Mississippi State
4) Auburn
5) Ole Miss
6) LSU
7) Arkansas

Sort of like a power ranking. Alabama is going to win the West though and should be the favorite.

I want to put LSU ahead of Arkansas, but our atrocious interior play sets up perfectly for Arkansas' system.

Hoping this will be an LSU-UF 2012 wakeup call. after that game, les finally got his head out of his arse and we played top 5 football.

I think we lose to A&M at home, but it shakes out to us in Atlanta.

I posted this in scoreboard before it got locked, but I think 7th in the West might be worthy of a top 25 ranking.

I hate to say it...I really do because the response is so easy but...

Who have the Aggies beat?

Nobody good.

I think TAMU is great but until I see more I don't think they're #1. Could be, I just haven't seen it yet.

If you would have asked any Alabama fan at the beginning of the season, they would have probably told you @LSU was one of their two toughest games. Or at least in the top three.

But now, who knows what the psyche of that LSU team will be in November. If they have 3 losses by then, will this young team be discouraged? Good chance.

So now, if you look at Alabama's schedule.. If they can get by Ole Miss in two weeks (I think they'll win that game by double digits), their three toughest remaining opponents will be Mississippi State, Texas A&M, and Auburn. All three of those games are at home.

They likely just need to go 2-1 in those three games to get to Atlanta. Like you said, aTm is the most likely loss given the matchup.

The West is still going to beat each other up, including Arkansas and LSU. Arkansas could steal a game against someone. LSU could beat Ole Miss. You never know. It's all about matchups really, considering each team has pretty obvious strengths and weaknesses (compared to your typical season when there is not as much parity).

I think Alabama could even lose two games and come out of the West, as long as neither of those losses is to Auburn or aTm.

I wouldn't doubt it. All teams scare me right now, to be perfectly honest. VERY good football being played in this division right now. Glad to be a part of it. Great talent everywhere.

Doesn't matter what has happened so far I fully expect the Alabama-LSU game to be a dogfight. Always is.

Yep. I remember looking at our home schedule at the start of the year and thinking it would be awful. Now it includes A&M, State and Auburn (knew AU would good, obviously).

Really fun time to be a fan for sure. Assuming you aren't losing 4-5 games.

Honest question; Why are people putting LSU ahead of Arky? I haven't watched much of Arky tbh, but it seems like they're very successful at running up the middle...the biggest soft-spot on LSU's D.

What have any of you seen from Ole Miss that would make you rank them near the bottom?

I agree with a lot of that. I'm confident we'll smoke Auburn after last year, given Saban's track record. LSU, Ole Miss, and Miss State are basically trap games, and we've mostly avoided those traps under Saban. We're better than them. We've never really stopped A&M's offense, and they're looking great. But I expect at least 2 of the other teams to beat A&M . All five other teams are capable of beating A&M. That puts Bama in Atlanta.
