Based on the course of his career.

Most teams/players play better at home. It's not like that's a shot at the dude.

Nothing Auburn has done puts them ahead of OM.

Ok well as of today, we are fresh off beating Tennessee 34-3. You know, the same Vols that UGA only beat 35-32 with Gurley. I don't know how we fall to fourth in the West because of that performance?

I would say:
1a. State
-Say what you will about the A&M and LSU wins, they still looked really good by the eye test in those games.
1b. Ole Miss
-No. 1 scoring defense in the country and have held every team we've played to at least double-digits less than their season average and 19 ppg.
3. Alabama
-59-0 is 59-0. They're still a dangerous team.
4. Auburn
-That K-State game looks pretty impressive now, but they did not look good against State so they can't be top three yet.
5. LSU
-Might be figuring everything out. Might just be because they played Florida and Kentucky. I hope it is the latter.
6. Arkansas
-Awful record and broke the West's streak, but they are a good team.
7. A&M
-They've regressed each week it appears

Where's the evidence that Alabama would play well on a neutral field?

Why? What has Auburn done that is more impressive than what OM had done?

I think Ole Miss is the best team in the country. That D is nasty. We lost the MSU game; they didn't win it.

They have as impressive of a resume as Bama. AU looked good against Arky and LSU. Looked bad against State. Bama looked good against UF and A&M, but bad against OM and Arky.

AU certainly could be 3.

As opposed to having to play a true road game against a very good team?

Yeah, I'll let you figure that one out on your own.

HottyToddy7 Rank the SEC West as you see them today We should have beaten BAMA 31-10. We beat them more times than they beat us.

Yeah, but head-to-head doesn't matter. Ole Miss fails the "eyeball" test. Alabama is better.

REMATCH!!!!

1) State/Ole Miss*
3) Alabama/Auburn
5) LSU
6) Arkansas
7) Texas A&M

* Until one of them loses, I don't really see how anyone can question some combination of Ole Miss and State at #1 and #2. Could Alabama beat Ole Miss if they played again? Possibly. But guess what? They didn't when they actually played.

You have some good points. Probably a tie for third.

I'm pretty calm? I would just like for you to explain how Ole Miss is at No. 4 in the West with the league's best record and a day after winning a conference game 34-3.

Because they don't want it up be that way. The bottom line is that the OM D isn't going to give up 25 points In a game. Is the OM offense good enough to put up 25 against LSU Aub and State? I believe so.

Auburn's biggest problem against State was the inability to score touchdowns inside their 10 yard line. Auburn had 6 possessions inside State's 10 yard line, but they only scored 2 touchdowns

Auburn's biggest problem overall is the schedule. Having to play State, Ole Miss, Georgia, and Alabama all on the road would be tough for anyone this year.
