Is 1900 earlier than 1990?

Auburn head to head over Georgia. National Championships and stuff.

More wins
More SEC Titles
Same number of national titles

Not seeing where your logic is

You didn't answer my question. I asked first.

If Tennessee doesn't start winning again, we could get passed by Georgia and/or LSU in the next decade. That said, I think Butch has things moving in the right direction.

It's possible, I hope so of course but we don't have a coach like Neyland. Neyland makes Tennessee special like Bryant for Alabama.

Since the OP mentioned "all-time", there is no other place my bottom four could be since they are "relative" newbies.

I've skewed my selections to give a little more credit for the last 25 years.

Alabama
Tennessee
Auburn
LSU
Florida
Georgia
Mississippi
Kentucky
Vanderbilt
Mississippi State
Arkansas
South Carolina
Missouri
Texas A&M

We have a winning record against Florida. Doesn't mean we have a better program than them.

So by your criteria, Yale is the 2nd best football program of all time?

UGA has played in 32 more games than LSU.

yes. do you want to do make-up games for every team that didn't reach a bowl because it wasn't fair?

remember we're talking all-time. if a new college opened up and went 12-0 they wouldn't be the best all-time just because they just started playing. all-time is all-time, don't try to twist it.

LSU
Claimed National Titles: 3 (1958, 2003, 2007)
Unclaimed National Titles: 4 (1908, 1935, 1936, 1962)
Total Conference Titles: 14
All-time Record: 753-398-47 (.648)
Bowl Game Appearances: 45

Georgia
Claimed National Titles: 2 (1942, 1980)
Unclaimed National Titles: 2 (1927, 1946)
Total Conference Titles: 14
All-time Record: 768–406–54 (.647)
Bowl Game Appearances: 48

Auburn
Claimed National Titles: 2 (1957,2010)
Unclaimed National Titles: 3 (1913, 1983, 1993)
Total Conference Titles: 12
All-time Record: 733–416–47 (.633)
Bowl Game Appearances: 38

Florida
Claimed National Titles: 3 (1996, 2006, 2008)
Unclaimed National Titles: 1 (1984)
Total Conference Titles: 8
All-time Record: 684–395–40 (.629)
Bowl Game Appearances: 40

Therefore, if we were to rank the schools by these 5 criterion:

Claimed/Unclaimed National Titles:
1. LSU [7 Titles]
2. Auburn [5 Titles]
3. (tied) Florida/Georgia [4 Titles]

Total Conference Titles
1. (tied) Georgia/LSU [14 Titles]
2 Auburn [12 Titles]
3. Florida [8 Titles]

All Time Record Percentage:
1. LSU [.648]
2. Georgia [.647]
3. Auburn [.633]
4. Florida [.629]

Bowl Game Appearances:
1. Georgia [48]
2. LSU [45]
3. Florida [40]
4. Auburn [38]
