Biggest miss on a recruit in the history of Tennessee football.

If I remember correctly, he wanted to go to UT, but they didn't offer him. He really blossomed at UK, made an immediate impact and was alwasy the best player on the field from day one.

Landing with the Packers was absolutely perfect for him too.

He played for Alcoa, which is east TN, and is loaded every single year. Multiple state titles. Fulmer, word has it, would not recruit him since he played at a 2A school.

Yeah, that sounds right. Was quite a miss. He was very motivated to prove Fulmer wrong, and he did.

He literally put the team on his back on Saturdays.

While impressive, that seems totally pointless and a good way to get injured

Sometimes, you gotta put da team on yo back doe

Congrats to him! Probably my favorite Packer on the roster right now.

I still remember watching him at VHS in 2010. It was the only conference game we won in that miserable season, but witnessing him try to do it all for the Kats was incredible. 6 catches for 108 yards, a TD, a 2PC, and another 149 yards on punt and kickoff returns. 267 total yards (he had a couple of rushes too). He failed to complete his only pass attempt though haha. Definitely one of the few fun moments I had in the stadium that year.

For even more perspective, Alcoa HS to UT is about 15-20 min. Crazy as hell. Good for him though and good for UK.

Pretty sure he had an offer, just not to play QB which is why he went to UK.

Either way, seems like an awesome guy. This is always good to see.

Good for Cobb. He almost single-handedly beat Auburn in 2010.

Randall had an offer from Tennessee, except they were very honest in his recruitment. He wanted to play Quarterback and after the Brent Schaeffer debacle, Phillip Fulmer did not want to have another dual threat QB, and he only offered Randall as a Wide Receiver/Athlete because he felt that is where he would be best suited.

Randall then goes on to star as a wide receiver. Irony...
