From my hometown.
He looks likes like he could be Jason Dufner's grandfather in that picture. Same IDGAF facial expression.

Yes. Late 30s is all I'll say. I don't want to completely blow my cover.

Same here. You've only got a few years on my brother. He played for Coach James and ended up with 3 state titles.
Decent chance I've got a picture of you in an old yearbook because I started in Kindergarten at Morgan and I'm 25

Almost in the same yearbook but not quite. Coach Gartmen was the coach while I was there. From my 8th grade to Senior year we only lost a total of 3 games. A few of my friends in the grade below me played 3 years and never lost a game. I was just getting into junior high when Morgan started its insane football run.
P.S. You just made me feel really old with your comment about being in kindergarten when I was still in school. Sadly, I had just left but I'm good friends with a few of the people in the senior class of your kindergarten year.

Great quote to end the article

I recently watching Shug's final Auburn Football review on You Tube. In those days, just like The Bear Bryant Show,it was every single play, not just highlights and I can imagine the players all tuned in to see what the coach had to say about them. Shug, even though he was done as head coach, did not spare his players any criticism ,or praise when it was warranted. I liked the man and I am sorry he had it so rough health wise at the end of his career and in retirement.
