So, forecasts are calling for a decent possibility of rain in CS tomorrow. It will probably dissipate by game time, but with a wet field condition, who benefits here? Gotta be the OM defense IMO. This one might come down to who can run the ball most effectively which doesn't make me feel all warm and fuzzy as OM hasn't really done that yet this year.

Also, Aggies, tell me about your new grass. Will there be anything left to play on by the end of the night tomorrow if there is indeed a decent bit of rainfall?

I dunno if it benefits either of us honestly. Probably slows down both passing games and might make it easier for our LBs to make plays in space.

Who knows on the grass, it better be improved

Nothing will help us. Let me educate you:

Dry field give Trill allergies: advantage Rebels
Wet field Trill has H2o phobia: advantage rebels
Meteor shower Trill is afraid of aliens: advantage rebels
Snow Trill don't like it cold: advantage rebels
Full moon creates stronger gravitational pull and messes up Trills timing: advantage rebels

If it is raining, a wet ball won't help us catch any better.

It's supposed to be early afternoon showers and stop by game time. Just hope there isn't a lightning delay, it's already an 8:15 kickoff. Im more concerned how it affects the field than any teams advantage. Both teams sling the ball so should be a wash

Very, we actually have to soak him in olive oil before the games so he won't be so brittle.

We have to add at least 3 per year. It's in our cult bylaws.

All I know is that I was cold, wet and miserable in Baton Rouge last year, and I DO NOT want to be cold, wet and miserable on Saturday.

With that being said:

(1) the rain will be a "wash" for the two teams.

(2) playing on a wet field will destroy the new turf, but it still won't be any worse that the Rice debacle.

Just being as bad would suck. I can't believe it but I am more scared of the field embarrassing A&M than the team playing on it. You only get one chance to make a first impression, and it would suck if the first impression for our half $billion palace for America was "its a terrible field."

The turf issue will get sorted out, when you do a huge expansion project you'll have some hiccups along the way. Better the turf comes up then finding out none of the bathrooms work in the stadium.

Advantage Rebears. OM can run the ball a bit.

We have a significantly better run game than them by every statistical measure
