Yes, I know that. Was just comparing the two bowls.
If they ever add another BCS bowl (or two), the Cotton should be the first to be added.

I could have started thirty threads gloating but I've decided to make a single post on a cotton bowl thread and you give me the "u mad" SECr deflection. Super Bowl buddy. You lost it. Must suck.

Depends on perspective. Arkansas has lots of history in the Cotton Bowl, and it's smack in the middle of their primary recruiting territory. The Capital One (Citrus Bowl) is a better site for teams that recruit Florida more. Both have similar payouts and are January bowls.

Cap One will take Georgia if they know whats good for them. Georgia will sell way more tickets than we will to that game and vice versa with Cotton.

Dallas sucks, but so does Orlando.

the new year's all you can drink block party on church street was pretty good last year. aside from the stadium the cap 1 really isn't as bad as people make it out to be. that or I have low standards

So basically you made a BCS bowl if you make the Cotton Bowl.

Other than a smaller payout (about 1.25 mil less, I think) the Cotton is a MUCH better bowl than the Cap One. Indoors @ Jerry World,

I agree. Jerry World is really awesome. Plus Dallas is a pretty cool city. Orlando is an overrated vacation spot in Florida.

Dallas isn't really that cool. But Jerry World is fricking awesome and well worth the trip.

If they do away with the NC hosting city having 2 games, or if they ever go to plus-1, Cotton will probably be the one added to BCS rotation. World class venue in a world class city with a ton of history. Cap-one has none of those

Uh,no... the Cotton is NOT a BCS bowl. Yet.
Just saying that I think eventually the Cotton will become one of the BCS bowls. If Fiesta doesn't get it's stuff together, might replace it.

I was joking. Yes, the Cotton is a likely option if they do something with the BCS. But "expanding" the BCS doesn't do anything but water down the BCS.

If I were Arkansas, I'd much rather the Cotton Bowl. I think that's where they end up.

It's absolutely where they end up. However, I wonder how excited their fans are to travel there again.

It's closer, the stadium is indoors and they've done well playing in that stadium.

Yeah, they'd rather be in Atlanta or New Orleans but I'd say that the Tigers definitively took care of that.
