However, why do so many posters change their team logos to other SEC teams frequently?

I imagine it has something to do with a really misguided sense of humor common to many who lurk in message boards feeling more self worth than they really ought to.

I change it to whoever is playing Fat arse's team. That's why it's the faggies right now even though I hate them too.

Because:
1. People not used to the forum assume that the team logos are sacrosanct and so they use them to judge posters by their cover. This leads to trolling opportunities that people take advantage of, or not. Some Bama fans think I am a LSU fan because I am a Saints fan for example.
2. Longtime posters who KNOW how arbitrarily the logos are still get rustled when a poster they don't like uses a team logo of a team they are not actually a fan of. Like if I actually switched my logo TO LSU then someone would call me out on it.
