Question for the Bama fans......

When you were told that Saban was being hired, and HONESTLY, what were your thoughts?
A. this guy is gonna lead us to the promised land
B. i think he's overrated
c. I could care less, we've had some bad/so-so hires the last umpteen years.
d. lets just wait see..

I would say more toward A than anything. That was at a point where LSU was still dominating people and he had just left there a couple years before.

Some combination of A and D. I knew what he did at LSU, but I didn't want to get my hopes up.

I was extremely happy with the hire, and thought we got the best guy available. But I didn't realize exactly how good he really is till later

same here. i bought into the hype, but i had been scalded ALL my life being a hardcore bama fan. so i was hesitant to think "sure, he'll get us a NC."
before saban got here, i believed luck was a much bigger element than it actually was in CFB. glad i was wrong.

They were turning people away for the spring game because the 92,000 seat stadium was packed full. There is not a Bama fan in America that can answer anything different than "excited as hell."

A. I figured we'd win a NC in 4 years. I was close.
I was glad to have him, not because of his accomplishments at LSU, but because of how he coaches. We've needed that for a long time.
