why are there signs in Muskogee that say Okie from Muskogee if it's that offensive to them?
I lived in Tulsa for a year and used the term regularly. I had no clue it was offensive.

Honestly, I haven't been a fan of the term but only because of how most use AGGY when referencing TAMU.

Some find it derogatory, but I consider the tone\context in that it's used. You can call someone a MoFo in a friendly way or really mean that you think they f**k their mother. Its the context not the word.
