If it was Bobo that would continually sit Tank right as he was really heating up and tearing thru a defense then yes…he’s garbage.

Not sure however if that was Harsin or Bobo but Bobo was the OC. But I’d melt if he was ever hired back at Auburn.

As an AU guy, we thought he did fairly well considering that Gus had let recruiting slip and hadnt recruited a single O lineman in 3 years.

Bobo had to constantly fight with Harsin to get shite done, so he was at a disadvantage there. (There was a lot of chaos behind the scenes with Harsin, even in his first season).

But he did make some boneheaded calls from time to time, one which probably lost us a game. He was like Gus in that regard.

We don't know for sure what happened before he left. He might have been fired because Harsin was desperate or he might have walked because he didn't want to deal with a dictator who hadn't yet won shite. It's one thing to be an ahole boss when you are dominating (like Saban), but it's another when you haven't done shite. Ain't no employee gonna put up with that when they have other options.

He has shite for talent at both stops
WR - Shi Smith (Panthers) - Josh Vann (Panthers) - Jalen Brooks (Cowboys) - Dakereon Joyner (USC) - Xavier Leggette (USC)

TE - Nick Muse (Vikings) - Jaheim Bell (FSU)

RB - Kevin Harris (2020 SEC Rushing leader) - Deshawn Fenwick (Oregon St)

QB - Colin Hill (Bobo's QB from Colorado St) <---Bobo's problem at Carolina

Bobo had talent - he chose to be stubborn and start a statue with multiple ACL injuries at QB

Kevin Harris and his yards after contact were a huge reason he led the SEC in rushing in 2020 - Bobo's favorite pick & pull play (which he ran at least 4 times against USC last weekend) was the go-to while Bobo was calling plays/interim HC -

as mentioned he ran off a high-rated QB/fan favorite from California - after the kids' family relocated to Columbia in 2019 -

I particularly enjoyed 4 straight passes from first and goal, including 4th and 2,against Penn State.

Not great. Definitely better than Satterfield but that isn't saying much.

I kind of liked the Bobo offense until he would inexplicably quit running the ball (See the 2021 USCe game that we had no business losing)

I was thrilled to see him leave Auburn. His substandard play calling cost us at least two games.

But I'm not sure he was. Satterfield had the same players Bobo did in 2021, and was more successful in using them.

At Auburn he wasn’t the primary problem.

He also was nowhere near the solution.

He’s alright, but not elite.

NFL never called for him.

Had a head coaching job, I don’t guess anyone called again.

Pretty much gets a pass with us because all the blame shifted to Harsin whether it’s fair or not

Hated him. His playcalling is outdated and predictable. expect lots of boring screens and 3rd and long draws.

honestly I was happy he was at UGA on saturday, its the only reason we were able to keep it close

I will never forget having about 9 minutes left vs UF in the swamp, down 2 scores, and he proceeds to call an 8 minute drive....

He also never did anything at Northwestern.

What Bobo did at SC was borderline coaching malpractice

Agreed.

I was a little bit in the know on his hire and, while I had high hopes with little confidence at his hire ... I felt like it was a mercy hire at the time given muschamp's and his coose friendship.

He had ALL KINDS of personal issues going-on behind the scenes at the time of the hire (I almost felt sorry for him) not the least of which was, what he claimed to be, some serious health issues ... among other things.

My biggest concern was that he was very mercenary. He actually felt that he was too good to be coaching here even given the ungodly am9unt of money we were paying him when he had a bad resume ... and then muschamp showed his arse demanding the hire be approved when there were two other better cordinators out there at the time, to be had, who really wanted to be here.

Bobo and muschamp are two peas in a pod. But listen, they've both made millions so they obviously have someone convinced that they have some worth.

This was very much my impression, as well. The failed HC at Colorado State had convinced himself he was *too good* for a mid-level SEC job. It never appeared that he really put in the effort to improve the team, honestly. Like he was going through the motions.

Now, he parlayed that into an OC job at Auburn (where he had mixed results, and was saddled with a poor HC), but there was sweet vindication in beating Auburn that year (for the second year in a row).

As many have said, he and Muschamp aren't The Guys. They're assistants, at best, that need a strong HC to keep them in check. They have that with Kirby, so good for them, I guess. I wasn't impressed with either's work ethic, and a lot of talent was squandered between them.

Satterfield also had Spencer Rattler. Bobo had Collin Hill.
