Since it is our bye week and Bama LSU is getting old, who do you guys root for when it comes to the NFL and NBA? Seems like MS and AL have a choice between Nola, Memphis, Atlanta, Titans ect

Arkansas roots for the Cowboys or some root for the saints. No real nba following (a few for the Grizzlies)

Um... this isn't an offseason thread. This is a More Sports Board thread.

More sports board would generate responses from northerners, was trying to get a feel for other people in the south

Just disregard those. It's what I always do.

Patriots. Ignore the NBA and await the college basketball season.

Whichever team I like. Sometimes I root for the underdog. I have favorite players. Some of the best games I watch are when I change my mind 20 times during the game who I want to win. You grow up in this state and you're pretty much just a Bama fan or an Auburn fan (plus a Braves fan). I've never needed a real rooting interest to enjoy the NBA or NFL

Saints.

Braves... Even though you didn't ask

No nba... I've disliked it since Jonathan bender went straight to pros and really hated since monta ellis did the same

I'm an Alabama fan, so obviously I root for the Patriots and whichever team is currently the best in the NBA.

In NWA you see mostly:

Football:
Cowboys, Chiefs or Saints (after they won the Super Bowl, not before)
Baseball:
Royals, Cardinals, or Rangers
Basketball:
Mavericks, Thunder, Grizzlies or any team with a star (MJ23, Magic, Kobe, or LeBron types)

Only exceptions you usually see are when people have Arkansas ties on a team.
The real wild card is Waltonville, where everyone comes in from different areas from the home office. Pretty much the united nations of fans.

Yeah that's what I've been getting in little rock since I moved. A lot of Cowboy and Cardinals fans.
Saints did the opposite to me and pushed me off the bandwagon so now I root for the Giants because I hopped on when Brandon Jacobs played (went to same high school) and stayed
Sucks though I can't run and catch a Pels game anymore though. Only thing I miss from
home.

Born in central Alabama and grew up up rooting for the Oilers and Saints. Basketball I was always a 76er fan. Mo Cheeks, Chocolate Thunder, Moses Malone, and Dr. J. I think Bum Philips was one of the many reasons to like the Oilers back in the day.
