do you are to educate me on what offense those two ran to get into that game?

All I know is that one of those teams showed up with no offense that night.

To get there ... we routinely tried to cross the 50 yd line.

Yes. CC was hired for the sole purpose of that game never happening again...but that wasn't the point I was trying to make

No, if you had asked before Cameron came on board then probably yes.....assuming they would only have OC duties and we keep the rest of the staff.

No.

I am incredibly happy with Cam Cameron as our OC.

He is completely competent. LSU's offense this year will look different from last year's with Mettenberger throwing downfield to Beckham and Landry. He will tailor what needs to be done to the talent we have.

This is not Studrawa or Crowton anymore. LSU has a real OC that will figure out what needs to be done and do it.

LSU's problem last year was youth on defense and breakdowns. Still, LSU had the #3 defense in the SEC. The D will be back to form this year.

Lets see what kiffen does with our offense and then revisit.

Not too many answers you were looking for but i'll give it a shot. I'd take Malzahn. No knock on Sumlin, he runs a great offense. But I like that Malzahn is more of a run oriented coach (not just last year).
Honestly don't think you could go wrong with either though. I just prefer to pound the rock and control the clock.

You could remove our OC altogether if we could get a kicker.

No. Completely against LSU's identity in all phases of the game.

Nah, I would much rather win championships than put up 500 yards per game.

Cameron really seemed to turn the offense around his first year. I'd like to see how year two looks.

In 2012 Alabama scored 542 points, the most in program history, running a pro style. I Think they're cool.

I am confused, didn't one of these power offenses go in dry on AU last year?

We went in dry for A&M as well. It seems like LSU does well stopping these offenses more so than other teams. Hopefully the trend continues.

I prefer the style of ball LSU plays over the ones mentioned.

but I can appreciate what they do, just a personal like

Absolutely not. Pro-style has proven to be the most effective system in terms of the combination of offense and defense. Give me a top-notch kicker for five years instead. And a scheme to protect against the Kick 6.
