Winning the East registers with Mizzou fans. I doubt many could tell you that we beat Manziel to do it in 2013.

Quite a pendulum double standard. Why is it okay for you to use a Heisman Winner as a mark of success but intolerant for teams to use beating that Heisman Winner as a mark of success within the same argument?

Hard to compare. When we beat Manziel in 2013, we were playing for a division championship, so it had embedded meaning. LSU was not.

Oh I think pretty much every Mizzou fan is very aware of that. I was really happy that Manziel was there because he brought a lot of TV and media national hype to the game which shone a bigger light on our clinching of the SEC East and the celebration afterwards.
The Manziel spotlight factor gave as a much bigger national spotlight that helped with recruiting and such.
Much more so than if we had won the East by beating some boring shitty team like say Florida.
