First of all, huge congrats to A&M on yesterday's win at Bama. Big win for A&M and well deserved.

Last night, multiple Aggie alumni remarked how much they wished they had a shot at Texas this year (which I agree with them A&M should win).

Those remarks and knowing how much the Aggie nation dislikes Texas: Would most Aggie fans rather (1) Cotton Bowl in Jerry World vs. Texas or (2) at-large Fiesta Bowl invite against someone else TBD.

As long as it's one or the other, I'm happy. Obviously the Fiesta Bowl at-large invite would be huge for us.. but if the backup is a cotton bowl match with us and the sips, I'll take it.

It really doesn't matter which for me as long as we get one or the other.

Fiesta for sure. Higher rank, more prestige, better bowl, better for the conference.

Beating the ever loving hell out of a Texas team to embarrass the fan base, team, and possibly end the career of one of their coaches would be quite appealing though. Their vision of "eternal scoreboard" that i keep getting brought up in my face consistently would be hilarious. Cementing the dominance of the SEC and Texas A&M in the state of Texas would be another plus..but not enough to pass a Fiesta Bowl invitation....frick them

I don't really care. Either one would be great.

A win over the Whorns would be far from guaranteed though. We have a terrible secondary. Moving to the SEC has been great for us partly because no one throws in this conference.

Fiesta Bowl hands down. we have very little to gain from playing Texas. If they pull off the upset then all you will here is that they beat 2 SEC teams ect ect.

Though I will admit, in the mean time it is has been very entertaining listening to sips say they would decline a cotton bowl invite against us.

That kinda surprises me, thetruth2006. Most Ags I know don't want anything to do with the horns--not b/c we're scared of the opponent, but b/c we gain nothing by winning that game (not to mention the fact that the game/location would be boring as shite).

Thanks for the congrats. It hasn't gotten old yet.

Both of them are great situations to be in. I'm all for the best bowl for the program, which means whatever the best payout for the university is. On the other hand, absolutely blowing Texas' doors off in the Cotton Bowl would be putting the cap on a season that says "f*ck you" to everyone who has said anything negative about our move to the SEC. It would also do wonders for our recruiting classes to come.

Yeah, and the one passing team in this league doesn't have a defense that could stop you. Maybe your move here will encourage the SEC to have stronger quarterback and/or offensive play.
