Expectations are to win the LSU game and get a better bowl than the Cotton
well, those are some high expectations at this point, bordering on LSU-level demands. You're looking at 10-2 at best, now. The SEC brand name has lost some luster, and there's a bunch of teams ranked above you. Which BCS bowl (I assume that's what you mean) are you expecting?

FWIW, I don't see 10-2 getting any SEC team in. Not LSU to the Sugar, etc.

Knowing the following:

1. No conference can put more than 2 teams in.

2. If Fresno State or Northern Illinois is #12 or higher, they get an automatic bid.

3. If an AQ qualifier is below #16, #2 does not apply, it's now #16.

Who would you put in the BCS?

SEC: Alabama 13-0 in title game

PAC 12: If Oregon is 13-0, that means UCLA, Oregon State, and Stanford have a minimum of 2 losses apiece.

Big Ten: If Ohio State is 13-0, that means every other team in that conference has a minimum of 2 losses apiece.

ACC: If Florida State runs the table and goes 13-0, that likely gives Miami and Virginia Tech 2 losses apiece.

Big 12: If Baylor or Texas Tech runs the table, they'll be the only Big 12 school in the top 10.

AAC: There's virtually no chance of Louisville, Houston, or UCF cracking the top 15 now.

Let's assume the following:

-#1 Alabama vs. #2 Florida State in the title game

-#3 Oregon vs. #4 Ohio State in the Rose Bowl

That takes away the "top 4" rule

That leaves 6 spots in the BCS.

You know the AAC winner gets one.

You know that, if Fresno State or Northern Illinois is top 16, they get one by virtue of Louisville sucking

That leaves 4 spots, Big 12 Champion, AAC Champion, and 2 at large spots.

Let's assume that Missouri loses to A&M and Alabama, Auburn loses to Alabama, and A&M wins out.

Let's assume that Nebraska's only remaining loss is Ohio State in Indianappois.

The only factor that leaves is the Big 12 Champion.

The Big 12 Champion goes to the Fiesta Bowl, by rule, so that leaves five spots.

The order of the picks would then be:

Sugar
Orange
Fiesta
Sugar
Orange

Sugar will pick the biggest draw - That's a 10-2 A&M with Johnny Manziel (Top 10 at this point)

Orange will then pick their biggest draw - That's either 11-1 Clemson or 11-2 Nebraska

The Fiesta then picks the remaining team between Clemson and Nebraska

Sugar and Orange are now FORCED to pick between Fresno State and UCF/Louisville/Houston

Sugar would pick Houston to match up Kevin Sumlin vs. his former team leaving Fresno State to the Orange Bowl.

For matchup purposes, the BCS needs Alabama or Florida State to lose or for Oregon to jump them in the BCS poll.

If Oregon gets to #2, it solves some of the problem, as it allows the Orange Bowl and Rose Bowl to shove the unwanted team to the Fiesta Bowl.

Definitely would much rather Capital One or another matchup than the Cotton, we've been there plenty in the last few years, want to see us play a Big 10/ACC team in a new venue

I would prefer to go somewhere else. Dallas is a cheap nonstop flight from Denver though.

The when/where/trip cost of any bowl game we might get would determine whether or not I go. Not our record.
