Stop the self-loathing, BQ

The Top Offense performer in America's toughest football conference, and we can't even take a moment to consider an invite to NYC?

No self loathing, just being realistic.

yet they shut down Johnny Football for almost 3 quarters

Not really.

Johnny still had over 300 total yards and a couple TDs. But even if he he had been "shut down" for three quarters, does it matter? The dude performed when it mattered. I'm sure OM would have much preferred that Johnny apportion his brilliance more equitably throughout the game.

quote:

They figured out your gimmicky offense and put on the brakes.

6 turnovers is what staggered TAMU's offense. Four of those were fumbles. That OM forced fumbles has nothing to do with whether they "figured" us out schematically. That's just effort.

And how exactly is the offense "gimmicky"? It's the most balanced in the SEC. Let me guess, you hear words like "air raid" and "spread" and they just sort of boggle the mind, right? You're a critical thinker, bub.

Describing our offense as a gimmick is just an attempt to deflect teams' inability to stop it.

It's hardly Aggies that are pushing the Heisman talk, it is national sports writers. No one expects him to win this year but it's not exactly smack to say he has a very real shot at winning a Heisman before he is done. It's also not out of bounds to say he may get an invite to NYC considering the lack of great contenders this year.

Regardless of how good or bad Manziel is he has a perfect Heisman profile by playing in the SEC at the QB position, being a highlight reel waiting to happen, and even having a catchy/annoying nickname. Manziel is a guy folks will tune in to watch even if they hate him or A&M and that is what gets you the hype to win. He fits the profile of the type of player that usually wins even though that player is rarely the objectively best player in college football.

All these references to A&M barely beating OM forget that it was A&M's, as well as JFF's, FIRST SEC ROAD GAME, and it was at night against a packed house of Rebel fans who treated it like it was their most meaningful game in a decade. A fourth quarter comeback in a game where we gave it away 6 times is a good win, no matter who you're playing.

Was it your defenses fault? Who do you think is to blame? Johnny frickstick football threw 3 picks (1 wasn't his fault) not to mention thought he could run around like a fricking video game.

You stupid fricking A&M fans just don't get it. YARDS DONT MEAN frickING shite. Get a good defense and win games.

frickKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

One of the three ints was JFF's fault (one was a drop by a RS freshman and one was a wrong route by a true freshman). This is straight out of Sumlin's mouth. Of course, Sumlin's football IQ is not as high as some high school drop out that lives in a swamp and bought an LSU tshirt on his last "big shopping day" at Wal Mart.

I am sick of all the damn 2% new army fhegs afraid to speak the truth...

Johnny football is the best QB in the SEC and if we were in the little 12 he would be the best there.

He will win the Heisman period. I would bet my future on it.

Nope, I would take Ash over him any day. Ash's passing attack is way more consistent. JFF is to splotchy.

8 for 16 against Kansas with 2 INT and 0 TD.

WAY more consistent.
