The 2009 Florida/Ark game and various Nfl calls over the last few seasons have proven, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that there are ulterior motives in the game.

Nine times out of ten, apparent corruption is just endemic stupidity (and, yes, that game had some really stupid officials.) The problem with crying corruption is that the vast majority of the human race, and a larger majority of the officiating portion of the human race, is just too stupid to be corrupt. So...stupidity is almost always the best bet.

You really don't know how this works.

We are Bama fans. If a call goes against us and is a terrible
call, we don't say shite.

If a call goes our way we don't say shite cause we were cheating to begin with.

Nb4 who are you.

Refs missed it I guess. The only absolute bullshite call that I saw all day was the Targeting called on Clinton-Dix. Whoever threw that flag should be barred from refereeing any football south of the Mason-Dixon Line, including PeeWee.

What makes this so bad it it was reviewed with game stoppage and the Bozo in the booth missed it too.

These refs were pathetic. I am shocked they got the travesty with Clinton Dix right as far es ejecting him. It was not even close and it cost us 15 as it was.

One question I have is concerning the horsecollar call that went against us. Clearly it was a horsecollar but if you look Manziel was about to pull the tackler's facemask off his helmet along with his head.

Should this have been offsetting penalties?

Eventually some 'roided-up linebacker is going to get unjustly called for targeting and respond with a "Okay, ref, you want to see what real targeting is? Brace yourself."

And then Lou Holtz will fill an entire spit bucket during his two hour commentary on the incident.

If you want to see targeting, look at what happened to Eddie Lacy today. Guy blasted him in the side of the head leading with his helmet.

Karma struck later in the game when the same guy did it again to another player and knocked himself out.

What about the other 10%? Ftr, I don't blame the officials for Hogs losing in 2009. They had missed opportunities that were more to blame. However, I have seen reviewed plays in the NFL that were blatantly missed that can't be explained by human error. Couple that with the corrupted ref in the NBA, and just how likely is it that football is above corruption and always "human error" is to blame. Combine that with billions of dollars and I think its more unlikely that a ref hasn't ever attempted to influence a game. Life isn't fair; I can dwi.

When LSU loses the amount of terrible "homer"
calls increases exponentially.

It is the wildest thing ever.

For real.

No doubt there is plenty of corruption. 10% of billions of dollars is gonna add up to some nice change. I'm firmly convinced the reason we didn't see a better NC game last year, i.e. between Oregon and Bama, is due to the corruption surrounding ND's undefeated season. Just saying that even with things you wouldn't believe somebody would be stupid enough to do, there's always somebody stupid enough to do it. That doesn't make it any better than corruption. When you get screwed over, you don't really take comfort in the reasons behind said screw-job.
