You may get to see him be a star eventually. If he did break his scapula perhaps he will redshirt and get a year of separation from Jacoby.

I'd say if that happens, he transfers out of UF.

That was probably going to happen regardless. We had 2 five star guys come in the same year to compete. As long as the coaches gave each a 100% fair shot at earning it, then I have no issues with one transfering if that's what they want to do.

Legit question here:

Arent you guys worried about growing pains with a 3rd OC in 3 years? Last year, the talk seemed to be that Charlie would light it up once they learned the system and this year it seems to be that the O is going to blow up because Pease is there, even though he is supposed to be adding much more motion and trickery to the O

I was tricked by Charlie Cheeseburger for sure.

I haven't seen many Gators say we are going to light up anything on offense. IF they do, perhaps their meds need changing.

Most of us just want and expect to see some improvement and rhythm. We aren't blowing anyone away on offense this year.

Who has been saying that?

3rd coordinator in 3 years sucks for sure.

2 of them have been hired as head coaches when I wanted their butts canned or demoted.

My expectation for the offense is to score with a short field and don't put the defense in a bad position with turnovers. I am hoping not to watch our QBs regress as the season went along like under Jabba the Weis. Also looking for some physical play from UF's Oline and less false starts.

I'm more worried about who exactly our QB will be throwing too

Did any of you guys see, all the reporters blaming the false rumors of Driskel being hurt on Muschamp?

Here is Robbie Andreu of the Gainesville Sun on Twitter.

Robbie Andreu?@RobbieAndreu

My problem with the Driskel thing is this: when Muschamp went over the injury report with us Monday he should have mentioned his injury.

Robbie Andreu?@RobbieAndreu

If Muschamp does that, none of this confusion (and speculation) would have happened today.

Robbie Andreu?@RobbieAndreu

The bottom line is the media should get Muschamp after every scrimmage, not two days later.

This is absurd. So media guys follow stories on twitter and message boards, then post it on twitter without any credible sources, then blame the Head Coach when the stories or false! Man, I want a job where nothing is ever my fault.

There was never a QB "competition" anyways. Jacoby was always going to start.

Really? I mean I don't care one way or the other, as I just want the best guy to start, but things have been pretty hush, hush on the QB competition. So I guess what I'm axing is how are you sure who is better at this point?

Jacoby is the better QB, was the favorite heading into fall camp, and has out performed Driskel so far in practice. His role has never been in question. He has better qualities as a QB for what Pease is looking for to run his offense, as well. Driskel is a situational QB in Pease' offense.

That was other thing about last season. None of the WR improved as the year went along, all the while UFs best returning WR statically sits on the bench.

Gotcha. Like I said earlier I'm not behind one or the other, unlike the Gator posters on our own boards. The in fighting about these 2 is ridiculous. It always boggles my mind how people other than direct friends, family or former coaches of players can get so emotionally involved in who plays and who doesn't. My only hope is that there truly is an even playing field as the competetion and a fair and unbiased choice on the coaches part to choose the starter.

According to you Jacoby is that guy and I look forward to seeing what he can do, and I really hope we don't have too much of a 2 headed QB thing going on this year. I am sick of the gimmicks!

The media talked to Driskel's mom. That is a credible source.

Granted, it's been primarily random posters on sites and whatnot, but even some co workers here say that the mods of the sites are drinking the kool-aid, etc. I was just curious, most uf fans on here have been pretty level headed so was just curious. I think he said Higdon was one that was really high on the O this year and was even saying that just having Pease around was going to boost them 10-12 points per game or something like that.

i don't think that'll be an issue this year. with the little experience they got from last year, i think they'll light it up to a degree that shows they are progressing. i don't expecting bama or usc type numbers but i have higher hopes now than i did a year ago.
