I remember back in the 60s and 70s when it was like that ... one of the trumpet playing superstars, Al Hirt I think it was, got hit in the face or the lip by a thrown brickbat and that triggered a major crackdown where the LEOs came out and started thumping thug noggins. Cleaned it up in short order.

Those were the good old days.
