Just me but by the end of his third year VOLS will be in Atlanta.

As long as Phulmer doesn’t screw it up.

I liked and agree with what he said. I am not sure how good of a head coach he will be, but I do like his style.

No he's not. We didn't pay Schiano shinola.

i dont... they deserve it tbh. Think about this- they passed on Mike Leach for Jeremy friggin Pruitt!

Deep down, as much as I think Mullen will do good things -- I really wanted to see Leach at Florida. As fun and terrifying as it would have been.

I seriously think Jeremy's lack of academic sophistication may be his downfall. He's going to catch hell from Academia at large and at UT for his poor grammar. Pruitt used the non-existent contraction wadn't 3 times in his brief Presser to describe fans & players that didn't "show up" to watch or play in the Spring Game. The proper contraction for the context he was referring to is "weren't". Using the redneck term "Wadn't" makes Pruitt sound like an idiot.

Wadn't makes Pruitt sound like an uneducated man and it will hurt him with a lot of people including Recruits parents, Academia, the Media, and the general public. I never heard Pruitt talk before and had no idea his grammar was so bad.

Pruitt is the face of a major College Football Program now and he's got to at least sound like he graduated from High School.

eta- If Jeremy doesn't realize how important his grammar is now that he's the face and spokesman for the Vols he will fail.

No they didn't. Pruitt will be a failure. He's simply too stupid to lead a program.

He knows football. He has been successful at every stop. He knows the coaching industry. And that is important for a head coach to surround himself with exceptional people.

Pruitt knows talent. I have never seen a guy (Mullen included) who can identify 3 stars, coach up 3 stars, and bring them to almost an all conference level as consistently as Pruitt.

The challenges for Pruitt will be bringing in 5 stars. The challenges will be going against UGA and Bama every season and expecting success right away. The challenges will be dealing with Fulmer and the mess left behind in the wake of Butch.

Not sure I agree on this.He was certainly a huge improvement over Grantham from 2013.I thought he was good a getting the most out of very talented players.
Leonard Floyd,Trenton Thomason and Jordan Jenkins come to mind.Pretty sure he had blue chip talent at FSU and he obviously did at Bama but he should get credit for
recruiting them.

Yea but that's always a challenge in the SEC especially
at UT.

Maybe if he was recruiting for Harvard or Stanford. I’d be shocked if the parents of any SEC recruit were that bothered by it.

Reporters should bring pictures of various vegetables to press conferences and ask Pruitt to try and identify them.

Would be gold.

My favorite is him calling out the fans despite having over 60k people at their spring game

That's good support for a scrimmage game for a team that hasn't done jack shite for the past decade.

that would be accurate if there were 60k fans at the game but that number was grossly over estimated.

Coming from a school who hired Dooley after the debacle he showed at UT and Dallas.....
