need to specify this is basketball.
i like those four along with widening the lane, I don't like the nba continuation rule and the charges stuff.

eta: actually don't think we should lower the shot clock unless it is by 5 seconds

I do think bailing offensive guys out for minimal contact should be addressed. if you are out of control the d should have more leeway with contact.

Live ball only means a coach or another player can't call a time out while another player is dribbling or passing the ball, isn't that correct ? As long as a player picks up the ball he can call T.O. .... if it is zero T.O. with ball in play then that is a whopper, but one I am ok with, let the kids play the game.

I can't watch basketball at the end of games, it's like pulling teeth, 30 minutes to play 3.

I bet the networks won't like this, lol.

What it would eliminate is a coach calling time out during a play when they had the ball, eliminate trapped players being able to call TOs to retain possession of the ball, eliminate players "saving" the ball in play then calling TO to prevent a turnover via out of bounds, travel, or having to throw it up for grabs to keep it inbounds.

Inbounding the ball in dribbling it to a certain spot on the court to call TO to give a better position to inbound the ball for a play, dribbling to the coach to call TO then inbound in front of your own bench for example, would also be eliminated.

Using a TO to prevent a 5 second call from a inbouding situation would be allowed.

Basically to call a time out the ball would have to be out of bounds, at the free throw line, or just going throw the net (basically out of bounds at that time).

•Reducing the number of timeouts.

Reduce it by one timeout and you only get 3 in the second half.

•The reduction of the shot clock...

This needed to happen years ago, if NCAA wanted the game sped up and higher scoring, than this is a no brainer. 24 or 30 seconds would be fine.

•Eliminating live-ball timeouts

I like this as well, if a defense has you trapped, you shouldn't be able to call a timeout.

•Changing the 10-second rule so that a team has ten seconds total to cross half court. Calling a timeout in the back court currently refreshes the clock.

Yes, please.

All of these need to happen. Along with every ref calling the game like they did in the NCAA tourney. No more 60 fouls a game bull shite that SEC refs like to pull.
