So Alabama's DL won't do it again?

They might but we have been mixing up the play calling a lot better this year and we have a quarterback who can accurately hit short and intermediate passes. Far more unpredictable, can't just stack the box every play.

The best thing I've noticed is they are finally splitting guice and fournette in the backfield and having them run routes at the same time. We have been hoping for this type of scheme for so long as fans.

LF is one of the quality young men playing college football, much along the lines of Derrick Henry was last year according to a lot of what I heard bout him. Yet bama fans hate on LF just like they do with Tebow. These are college kids doing it the right way. No drugs, no domestic violence, solid citizens, good Christians, lots of volunteering in the communities, etc. So why all the hate? And FWIW: come draft time this Spring, LF will be laughing all the way to the bank; not according to biased LSU fans but the pro experts.

No doubt. Harris missed some big plays on short passes in last year's game.

Fournette is awesome. No one can run the ball if the defense can load up on the run because there is no legitimate pass threat.

Don't be a douchebag with your shitty stats.

Just because they didn't start out with 8 or 9 in the box doesn't mean they didn't run blitz/shoot gaps. Even the smallest threat of a short passing game that makes linebackers cover can make this stop happening. The biggest difference under coach O has been the sequencing of plays....passing more on 1st down, etc.

Still think he was overrated, just like Jalen Hurts. Easy when you have the best O-line and defense to prop you up.

Yeah, Alabama should definitely have more to worry about in game this time. In no way shape or form do I see another 31 yard performance from Fournette. If Alabama can keep him and Guice to ~120 I think Alabama will be in great shape.

He would probably eat Butch's stones too if he fell in that bathtub.
