They ranked TCU #2 in the final poll last year, so they'll rank Texas/Bama 3 and 4. Georgia will be 5. Which is a joke, of course, but that's how the AP voters did it last year.

Liberty doesn't belong. Here's a solution to all those meaningless bowls. Let the G5 have their own playoff instead of sticking one of them in the NY6 picture. Use all those empty stadium bowls to host that playoff.

The #2 spot gets locked in because the teams that make it to the Title Game won a semifinal. Last year’s TCU team beat Michigan in the semifinal, so it locked them ahead.

That’s not the case with the semifinal losers
