So then Bama isn't eligible for any upsets...right?

Every year there are upsets. The better team doesn't always win. In 2012, LSU beat Texas A&M, Florida beat Texas A&M, South Carolina beat Georgia, etc.

How are any of these considered upsets?

Texas A&M was favored over us.

Arkansas over Florida

If anything, the refs will make sure this doesn't happen. Again.

Why does everything on the Rant have to be a thinly veiled troll thread these days?

Because no one wants to have a serious discussion about anything. Threads with actual content are always ignored to the extend that people post tl:dr memes whenever someone tries. The Rant is probably the worst forum I've seen with regards to actual discussion about sports.

Well, you're not wrong.

If you want reasonable discussion and opinions about sports on a website that supports 14 different teams that by and large aren't too fond of each other, you need to visit a blog, not a forum.

Looks like the guy that cuts shrubs at my office? Does he do that in the off season?

I'd like a shrubbery. One that looks nice. And isn't too expensive.

LSU will have at least two losses (Georgia, Florida) by the time they play Ole Miss and the game is in Oxford. That would be a mild upset at best.

Somebody over South Carolina is usually the safe bet when it comes to upsets.

The favored team won each time.

This. Also not sure how you can argue a team that lost 35-7 is better than the team that stomped them...

Guess thats just leftover Big 12ish logic or something

While your statement is true it doesn't apply there....LSU was way better than the scrub team ya'll put on the field last year.

A better example would be when aTm beat Bama

OM will probably beat LSU, but I'm pretty sure that will be a pick'em by the time the game is played. It will definitely be a down year for the boys from LA.

UT will beat someone they shouldn't as well.

I just don't see A&M beating anyone ranked above them this year. A&M over Alabama would be an even bigger upset this year - not going to happen.

Auburn will beat several teams as the underdog.

I don't think there will be that many upsets this year... there is a clear delineation between the top of the league and the bottom

That does not make any fricking sense. LSU will likely be favored in the UF and Texas AM games and maybe a three-point dog at UGA.
