Arkansas is a better team for the league than USCe in my opinion. If we had to replace Arkansas I would say only Texas or A&M

I'm glad Arkansas is in the SEC as well. If we ever added a team, I'd be in favor of Florida State.

They are part of the growing parity in the SEC, it makes the conference that much stronger IMO.

Tough to say they bring a lot to the SEC, but they did win the '94 NCAA tourney. South Carolina won the baseball title this year. It's the Mississippi's I'm juvious of.

Academic rankings of all D-1A schools for '10:

4. Stanford
10. Duke
12. Northwestern
17. Rice
17. Vanderbilt
20. Notre Dame
21. Cal
24. UCLA
24. Virginia
26. Southern Cal
27. Michigan
28. North Carolina
28. Wake Forest
34. Boston College
35. Georgia Tech
39. Illinois
39. Wisconsin
42. Washington
47. Penn State
47. Florida
47. Texas
50. Tulane
50. Miami
53. Ohio State
53. Maryland
56. Pitt
58. UGA
58. Syracuse
61. Clemson
61. Purdue
61. aTm
61. Minnesota
66. UConn
66. Rutgers
68. SMU
71. BYU
71. Indiana
71. Michigan State
71. Iowa
71. Va Tech
77. Colorado
80. Baylor
88. Auburn
88. Iowa State
88. NC State
88. Tulsa
96. Alabama
96. Kansas
96. Nebraska
102. Florida State
102. Oklahoma
102. Arizona
102. Missouri
106. Tennessee
106. Washington State
110. TCU
110. Dayton
110. South Carolina
115. Oregon
121. Arizona State
126. Utah
128. Colorado State
128. LSU
128. Arkansas
128. Kentucky

Then there is "Tier 3", a list that includes schools like George Fox University, UT-Dallas and:

Ball State
Bowling Green
Kansas State
Kent State
La. Tech
Mississippi State
Oklahoma State
Oregon State
San Diego State
Texas Tech
UAB
Central Florida
Cincinatti
Hawaii
Idaho
Louisville
Ole Miss
Montana
Nevada
New Mexico
South Florida
Wyoming
Utah State
Western Michigan
West Virginia

And Tier 4:

Central Michigan
East Carolina
New Mexico State
Northern Illinois
Akron
Houston
La-Lafayette
Memphis
North Texas
Southern Miss
UTEP
Toledo

Who are the outliers here?

And what do those same outliers bring in terms of athletic success?

It's common knowledge that Arky has never won the SEC in its nearly 20 years in the conference, nor has it ever reached a BCS game. Which programs do you think would perform better?

Probably some team that's much easier to beat. Don't blame you.

Yeah, I know. I don't see any Texas schools joining the SEC and I know Florida is big a big enough state to support 2 SEC schools. I'd love FSU in the west playing LSU every year in football.

Neither has Vandy.

Vandy is a founding member so they are "made" men. Arky should still be in their probation period and being considered for termination. Thats what I pray for at night anyway

Should be a rolling evaluation, IMO.

You'd better find a damn good athletic program to replace us hoss......

Historically

Football:
1 National Title
13 Conference Championships
3 Division Titles
38 Bowl Appearances
667 All Time Wins

Basketball:
1 National Title
6 Final Fours
10 Elite Eights
10 Sweet Sixteens
30 NCAA Tourney Appearances
40 NCAA Tourney Wins
7 Conference Tourney Titles
24 Regular Season Conference Titles

Baseball:
6 CWS Appearances
23 NCAA Tourney Appearances
4 Conference Titles

Track & Field:
42 National Titles
5 Triple Crowns
92 Conference Championships

Thats a lot of titles you are asking another school to replace.

More so, that is a lot of money into the SEC you are losing if you would like us out.

I will chalk this thread up to you just being an idiot though.

Rather have A & M or Texas.

Bigger market, better academics.

Arky does have a pretty solid past athletically. And you've brought decency to SEC track and field. And the '94 NCAA tourney championship. So you've got that going for you.

You didn't list the bowl records though:

Arkansas: 12–22–3
Georgia Tech: 22–15–0
